YMCA at Norton Commons

"This review is not for the facilities, they are excellent and the staff is great. This review is for the nightmare of a guest policy this YMCA has. Knowing that Norton Commons has a unique guest policy, I called ahead to the desk and asked if the time I was planning to bring a guest was within the acceptable time range (they have a window for bringing a guest due to volume levels). The desk lady confirmed the time was okay to take a guest. When I arrived to the YMCA I was told I could not bring the guest into the YMCA, even after I explained that I had LITERALLY called ahead for this very reason and it was an error on their part. Rather than making it work because the mistake was on their part, they refused and we were left having to travel to another YMCA. I think it’s hilarious that the consumer gets punished when the company made a mistake and especially when the customer called ahead to make sure there was no possibility of a mistake. Not very accommodating for a non-profit organization…"
