"Ted Couch has repaired 2 antique chairs and an antique, hand-made four-poster bed canopy frame for me. In the case of the canopy frame, a leg had been broken and the piece had been lost. He had to start from scratch and create a pattern for the replacement. The chair arms had ragged, splintered breaks. It is impossible to tell where the chairs were repaired. I know where the canopy frame was repaired - only because new wood, no matter how carefully stained - will not match 100 year old wood. But I'm confident as it ages, it will match beautifully! Ted is prompt, courteous, and his prices are reasonable."
