"Escape to the forrest right across the street from Mall St. Matthews! I walked the nature trail behind the baseball diamonds and was amazed at how beautiful and natural the pathways are. Great for strollers, walkers, wheelchairs. A few inclines around the bridges, but overall it's an easy track to navigate. LOTS of benches to stop and rest or just enjoy the woods. There's even a tiny pond/wetland. I found nuts, berries, and many native medicinal plants. Great place for all ages and abilities to explore nature in the shade without driving half an hour out of the city."
"I enjoy going to this park after work for a short walk. I would estimate that the walking trails are less than a mile in total. They are also flat, paved, and handicapped accessible. Convenient location. Mostly shaded trails. Sometimes you can see deer there in the summer."
