"I gave the food 4 stars because the chicken friand, onion soup were good, but both were just warm. I also ended up with coffee that must have been warm also because it was barely room temperature once I added cream. It took several minutes to get assistance and then I was told that they'd have to make more which would take "a few minutes". Since we were done I asked for a refund and the manager refunded both of our coffees and apologized. On our way out we stopped at the bakery but everyone was busy elsewhere so we left. This location just seemed like it needed more hands on deck in the front and they need to pay better attention to details like food temperature and keeping things refilled. Oh, and many of the utensils were wet!"

"This place is always a goto for quick bites, lunches or brunches. Freshly made bakery products are so good. I enjoy croissants in each of my trips here. Tomato basil soup is an all time favorite."

The establishment was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. "This place used to be great but they've gone downhill. The poor lady in the front looked over work and tired as hell, definitely not smiley. When I informed her there was a gnat on one of the tarts she didn't seem bothered. She didn't even remove it from the cabinet and left it there indefinitely for someone else to buy and enjoy. Also, there was mildew all over every broccoli and they forgot my extra mushroom sauce. I had ordered extra but they included 1/2 a serving. I was actually scared to eat my food, so I'm going to leave and just eat somewhere else."

"Definitely one of the better managed La Madeleine bistros. Light crowd on a cold day was not the reason for the delightful experience. The staff were professional and friendly but not invasive. Good day for the signature dishes plus the popular pastries. Sadly, we saw several parfait items on the way but since we wanted to these to-go, we thought it best to order these on the way out. Naturally, Mr. Murphy paid a visit while we were dining and much to our dismay all the chocolate parfait had been sold and there was none for us to-go. Lesson learnt - grab as quickly as you can. Obviously there were many other excellent pastries for us to compensate for our mistake. Good solid experience here means it will become a regular pit stop for us. It is as French as faux Cajun is for those who haven't tasted the real stuff but we don't mind it at all (having had the genuine stuff in France). The same could be said for any other international cuisine. So we ignore country designator and simply enjoy La Madeleine food as it is offered."
