"The Pre-K teachers at the I School, Shelly and Angela, used the egregious tactic of humiliation to punish my child and set an example for their classroom during an activity that was solely funded by us, the parents, where my child was supposed to be the classroom’s leader during the activity. We were not told that this activity was either voluntary or that it was an opportunity to subject my child to being punished for bad behavior the morning of and humiliated in front of their class by not being allowed to participate - at our expense - otherwise I would’ve never agreed to provide the supplies. They seem to forget these children are 4 years old and Shelly in particular lacks all empathy and compassion. They refused to setup a conference with me and instead sent long, aggressive emails and told me that they spoke to my husband at pickup and had nothing further to say to me. This school is under new ownership, who had no interest in speaking to us about it, simply taking Shelly’s side on the matter. She had actually lied to them and said she had setup a conference with me. Shelly is the ringleader and had it out for my child before they were even in her classroom. My child told us prior to being in her class that they did not like her, which was a huge red flag. Prior to Pre-K, we had no issues with this school. Edit for Dana’s response below- the “many many emails thanking them”? We had MAYBE 3 exchanges over email. My child was distraught on the way home that day. You’re acting like I’m defending his behavior- I am not, but I am defending him against cruel treatment by these teachers. The reason Shelly refused to have a conference with me was because she couldn’t take the criticism for her atrocious decision or to be questioned by a parent for her actions. Bottom line- I should have been informed BEFORE my child was humiliated and made an example of by these hateful teachers. If his behavior was so outrageous, they should have called me to come pick him up to spare him the embarrassment. But no, they wanted to punish him. We have spoken to other parents of students in Shelly and Angela’s classroom who have said that they too are made to feel like their child should be punished and tortured at home for the mistakes they make in the classroom. Trust me when I say, it doesn’t take much to get on their bad side. Dana, if you don’t want to take responsibility, that’s fine but as a warning to all parents looking at this school for childcare, expect to be treated with the same disregard. As you can see, they lack all accountability."

"Wonderful school! Dedicated/professional teachers and owners, excellent hygiene, quality education, safety. Our 2 year old learned so much since attending this school! Thank you Dana, Ms. Katie, and all other staff members for being so caring and loving with the kids! I wanted to update my review from 8 years ago. We are now on our 3rd child at the I school and I still think they are the best daycare center around. We moved 4 years ago but decided to drive across town so that we could keep our kids at the I-School. Over the years our kids have been through pretty much every class at the I school and have been very well prepared for kindergarten. Shelly and Angela with the Owls Pre-K class have made sure that our kids are ready to go to kindergarten and not miss a beat. Each of my kids have left the I-School knowing their sight words, how to write their complete names and counting well into the hundreds. The teachers here really care about the success of the children and are transparent with the parents. I highly recommend the I-School."

"Our family has been a part of The I School for over 6 years now, with 3 children, and highly recommend. We love the smaller class sizes and family feel of the school. Our daughter was lucky enough to be in Shelly and Angela’s Pre-K class for 2 years since we also decided to do a kindergarten bridge year there after touring many other facilities in the area. The warmth and genuine caring of Shelly and Angela cannot be beat! They love what they do and it shows. They were extremely patient with my daughter who started off shy and insecure. Now she has all the confidence in the world and is excelling in elementary school. Not only that, but they are wonderful at helping to foster sweet, well-mannered children that care about others. Our family has also been lucky to have Ms. Yaira, Ms. Kelsey, and Ms. Tee. All such wonderful teachers that genuinely care about their students and go out of their way to make the parents feel involved too. We also really like being able to check in and watch the cameras, the weekly updates with photos, and appreciate how responsive the staff is to email. Highly recommend!!"

"My son has been going to I-School since he was a one year old. From the moment we walked in the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. I left the I-School for about 6 months to have my son attend a daycare closer to my work. Unfortunately it was an absolute nightmare and I returned as fast I could. Having this experience made me appreciate the I-School even more. My son LOVES going to school each day and LOVES all of the staff. Since he is now five, we know most of the staff and they all know my son by name. They have very little turn over which is amazing. On the academic side, my son has learned so much. He cannot wait to come home and tell us all the things he has learned and even teaches us a few fun facts along the way. I love that the school has expectations in place while also letting them have fun. Anytime I need to email Dana or the teachers I get an immediate response. Along with that I get weekly updates on what’s going on in the classroom and pictures of my kiddo. I truly can’t say enough good things about the I-School!"

"We have been at the I School for almost two years and we absolutely love it! I feel very comfortable and safe leaving my daughter there. The atmosphere is kind and nurturing. The teachers and staff are wonderful. They are educated and genuinely care about their job. They take time to invest in each child and make them feel special. Our daughter looks forward to going and isn't ready to leave most days! I will be enrolling my infant once I am ready for her to go to school and I would highly recommend The I School to anyone looking for a wonderful, safe place for their children to learn and grow!"
