"Having had my child attend this daycare for over a year, my experience has recently been consistently disappointing. The high turnover rate and lack of properly trained staff are evident, leading to new faces at the center daily. According to the Texas Child Care Licensing, 35 employees left the center in 2023. It's a revolving door. It's concerning that the staff seems ill-equipped to handle age-appropriate developmental behaviors, as observed with multiple toddlers being sent to the office for seemingly trivial reasons, like crying. I recently took the time to observe the classroom setting for a few hours in the morning, and I was troubled to witness a concerning incident. The teacher, in response to a crying toddler, grabbed the child, placed her on the floor in the restroom, and walked away. Such behavior is unacceptable and raises concerns about the well-being and proper care of the children in the classroom I've personally witnessed my child being sent to the office and handed a phone or tablet for an extended period, justified by the excuse that he wouldn't nap. This, along with the teacher's apparent lack of classroom management skills, raises serious concerns about the quality of care. Adding to the issues, despite my child being fully potty-trained, there was an incident where he was put in another child's pull-up after an accident, despite having extra clothes readily available. Notably, my child rarely has accidents. It appears that this particular incident was a result of inadequate attention. Moreover, the food menu is monotonous, featuring the same meals everyday. Breakfast typically comprises a frozen waffle or two french toast sticks accompanied by a small portion of canned pineapples. To address this, I provided my child with a complete breakfast each morning. Unfortunately, there's a scarcity of vegetable options at lunch and "dinner"; the only consistent offering is corn, which is starchy. Approach the numerous positive reviews with caution. The center engages in bribery with parents, offering patches deemed "required" on students' shirts in exchange for positive reviews. In conclusion, my experience with this daycare has been disheartening, and I feel compelled to share my concerns about the overall health and safety of the enrolled children. As per licensing regulations, this facility was also cited for permitting a child to exit the center unaccompanied. I've made the decision to discontinue care at this facility, and I strongly advise others to consider alternative options. Run!"

"My children have been attending Cambridge Academy Desoto for almost 6 months now and I absolutely love this center. They have gone through some changes over the last few months and this has been challenging but they are always working on improving this center. The staff has really jumped on board with continuing education and the owner Mr. Aron goes above and beyond to make this center better. Ms. Donyell is the most wonderful woman to all the children not just mine. My kids have been to a few different centers and I have never seen an owner more dedicated to make his center the best it can be. My kids love going to school and learning and playing with their friends. Keep up the good work Cambridge Academy!"

"Long post however I am a mother and I will not be silent!!! My son attended Cambridge Academy in DeSoto for less than a month. Today I got a call from the school saying my son needs to be picked up for hitting a kicking a teacher. Of course, me being mom, I’m headed to de-escalate the situation and pick him up. I get there and everything seems to be fine, just one of Jace’s episodes (mind you, my son kept saying he’s scared and that I took too long to get here. I was only thinking he just didn’t want to be at school) one of the directors was in orientation and I didn’t feel like waiting to get the full story since I had already heard about it via my husband. When we get in the car my son tells me a teacher (miss precious popped him on his butt) well that’s not ok because I didn’t sign anything stating someone could touch my child, so we returned to the building and I asked to see the footage. Below is what I was presented with. My child was removed 2 seconds after sitting on his cot for nap time by Miss Casanova after doing absolutely NOTHING. Then precious dragging my child by one arm through the gym. My son was screaming and crying. Precious then proceeded to forcefully take my son to the front office and continued to abuse my son in front of the lunch teacher who blamed my child by stating he kicked and hit the teacher(initially how we received the call to come and pick him up) Not once did anyone confess to abusing, neglecting, and mishandling my child. So my 4-year-old said nothing he would be there tomorrow. I am distraught and honestly can’t believe this happened to my child. I never thought it could be my son but im grateful he knows how to speak up. Please please please do your research and trust what your child says. *my son was diagnosed with something that I will not disclose but I was very transparent before enrolling him in this school, his main teacher was never made aware of his diagnosis's. In addition, the blanket she has is HIS blanket! We did file charges and discontinued care, I just wanted to bring awareness. Video is on my IG _alexusmorris_"

"Ms. Donyelle is such a sweet heart! She takes great care of our children. The staff and company takes their motto of investing in excellence VERY seriously. It is so hard to find care where the staff actually care about the children and we appreciate Cambridge for what they do."

"I did my orientation and a tour of the facility on the same day, and it was the most professional and outgoing experience. I love the structure of the school, and i’m sure my daughter is going to love it as well. Ms. Donyelle Williams was an extreme help and made this process so easy and smooth for me. She was very helpful, and answered all of my questions with no hesitation. Thank you guys so much!!"
