"I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rio Grande City last week and unfortunately had a less-than-pleasant experience due to unauthorized charges on my bill. Despite booking through what I believed to be a reputable platform, I was shocked to find an extra $30 charge per night on my final bill, supposedly for "withholding fees." Upon contacting the Corporate office, I was informed that such charges were not standard procedure and felt deeply unsettled by the discrepancy. Despite my repeated requests, the hotel failed to provide a satisfactory explanation or detailed receipt outlining these additional charges. This lack of transparency and accountability leaves me deeply disappointed and concerned. It appears that there may be a systemic issue within the establishment, as even Corporate was unable to rectify the situation. I urge future guests to exercise caution and vigilance when dealing with potential upcharges or unauthorized fees at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rio Grande City. It's disheartening to feel as though I've been taken advantage of, and I hope that my experience serves as a cautionary tale for others. While the accommodations themselves were adequate, this incident has left a sour taste in my mouth and significantly tarnished my overall impression of the hotel. I sincerely hope that management takes steps to address these concerns and restore trust with their guests in the future"

"This was one of my better stays on this whole trip. Great staff, amenities, and the room was dynamite. Soft cloud like bed with pillows you can melt in. I wish breakfast was served a little earlier as some of us have to leave before 0630. Grr. I would highly recommend this place."

"I had an impression about the kind of service I might have received given where this hotel is located small town, not much happening, no uber eats, and not much to do. I know people say never to assume but we all do it from time to time and I was not expecting the service I got, it was definitely first class and Manager Eloisa and her staff made my stay very comfortable and relaxing, answered questions and made recommendations if you sought any. The atmosphere is welcoming and a breath of fresh air."

"Staff is nice. I was on business and they kept up with my busy schedule. It's clean and the free breakfast is good. The only thing is the laundry room only has 1 washer and 1 dryer that keep breaking down every few weeks, and then you got to pay $8 for them to wash your clothes for you. they need better washer and dryer."

"The hotel is great! It has a good breakfast and is very clean. The staff is very nice and always keeps up with the cleaning schedule. The best part of my stay has been the beds! They have recently updated the beds and they are perfect! Some things that keep this hotel from being 5 stars is that the gym is tiny, and makes me feel uncomfortable. Also, the pool and outside area is low quality compared to the rest of the hotel. I'm overall very satisfied with the service and quality of the hotel and staff."
