"Self-serve restaurant. The chicken tenders were well breaded and well seasoned. Tots were good and crispy, but the mac and cheese was odd. It was luke warm and had a handful of cold shredded cheese on top, confusing but still tasty. Beer is served in 22oz cups and is all 11$. This confused me at first because I didn't know the size and questioned the price. Very good though!"
"My grilled chicken sandwich was cooked and prepared just right. I got the Caesar salad and it was better than it looked. Location is convenient to the Omni Hotel. Service was average."
"Excellent fried chicken. Everything is a La carte so don’t forget to order some loaded tots or corn riblets. Hot sandwich is a great choice, not super hot but great flavor, don’t be scared away by the kale slaw (you won’t notice a difference). Bread is a potato roll I think? Slightly sweet with a nice crust and texture. Loaded Tots come in a light beer cheese with bacon bits and other goodies. Will need a fork, but worth ordering. The street corn riblets are excellent, but you do have to eat it off the quarter of cob it comes off of. If you don’t mind the method it is very tasty, though I personally would prefer off the cob kernels. Got the Cobb salad to go. I do wish the dressing and chicken had come on the side for better transport and squares of cheese is a little funky. Admittedly getting a salad at a fried chicken places seems silly, but if you have something on a limited menu, details are important. That being said, the recipient claimed it was fantastic. I was stuffed with sandwich and tots. Would definitely come back."
"If you’re looking for a place to eat near Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, here’s one. Hops & Hens. Might be the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. The H&H sauce is sort of like Cane’s sauce. Tenders have very plump white meat and are big. Order of 4 filled me up. Once your order is taken, you are served fairly quickly without too much wait. Keep your number on your table and they will find you… but I gave the wait staff a heads-up where I was sitting so they could find me quicker. Many of the wait staff speak Spanish. Outside seating on a beautiful day is so nice with everyone one walking around town and the Dallas downtown in view. If you come on a day with events at the convention center, don’t be surprised if the line is long and going out the door; but that will be typical of every restaurant at that time. Also, be aware that there may be 2 or 3 points of sale, so take a peak inside at the far end of the bar, and even walk all the way outside as sometimes they are taking orders from a register out there too."
