"We visit Louisville often and frequent different bars, restaurants, museums etc... Bakersfield is a newer joint on Bardstown rd. The theme is like westernish, and they have mexican cuisine. Very tasty, and affordable, full bar. Clean and very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again."

"This has got to be one of the most underrated restaurants in Louisville. We were driving by and it caught our attention enough that after a glance at the menu online, we made a change of plans for where we were planning to eat for the night. The atmosphere inside is very intimate with nice warm lighting. The food was amazing! We loved the short rib queso and all the tacos we tried. I could tell that everything was fresh. I made a comment about it to our server, Desmond, and he informed us that everything is made the day of. Desmond’s service was some of the best service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. He was very informative, attentive, asked if we had any allergies, and overall just pleasant to socialize with. The bar had an excellent selection of bourbon and tequila. I don’t know anything about tequila pricing but the bourbon was all very fairly priced. My only critiques would be to turn the music down a hair to support the intimate atmosphere and add a steak taco to the menu. We will definitely be back very soon!"
