"I recently visited the Edinburg Scenic Wetland and Birding Center for the first time, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The weather was ideal - a perfect combination of breeze and overcast skies, making it just right for exploring the trails. Along the way, I was treated to the delightful sight and sounds of nature, from Chachalacas to Cardinal birds serenading me with their beautiful melodies. The variety of ducks and even water snakes added to the richness of the experience. I highly recommend this center to fellow bird enthusiasts, as well as anyone who enjoys leisurely walks or bike rides amidst stunning natural scenery. A five-star experience all around!"
"Lovely quiet trails through some dense areas, big lake with ducks, pelicans and turtles. Lots of little birds of all sorts, from buff belly hummingbirds to chachalacas. If you want more of an open playground area, there's a great big open park across the street."
"The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center is such an amazing place for anyone but a great place for families and children. We take our students every year and we all enjoy this opportunity to learn and see new creatures that live in the RGV or those migrating through the area. Definitely a tranquil place to stop, observe, & enjoy God’s creations at your own pace. You can capture some amazing photos of nature! Love it here!"
"It's not big by any means but it is very nice and relaxing. You don't have to walk far to get to the different areas. Very clean staff is friendly. Plenty of shade and benches to take breaks on if your not use to walking too much. Restrooms were very clean. Highly recommend"
"A very nice walk around the pond on a fantastic fall afternoon. The amount of birds and variety of species changes however is always fun to see. I was amazed with the trails and intriguing scenery. I feel the City of Edinburg Parks and Recreation is doing an amazing job of keeping the trails manicured and clear of litter. Pleasantly surprised with the multiple covered picnic sites and scenic observation stations within the birding center. I want to come back and have a picnic."
