"I have definitely noticed the inflation hit even more at the local Dollar General. Prices are definitely still going up"
"In one word, horrible. We went in because we needed some cleaning items, for the house. I saw a receipt laying on my kitchen table that said $5 off your next purchase of $25 or more. I also noticed that that coupon said available on Saturday 9/16/23 only. At that moment, I also remembered that I have the Family Dollar app on my phone, which also has a $5 coupon, this one is a digital coupon, and thought to be available any day off the week. So we proceeded to the store and did our shopping, when we proceeded to the register, I entered my phone number so that I may apply this digital coupon towards my purchase. To my surprise this digital coupon was invalid, or should I say not valued until Saturday the 16th. The cashier rudely told me to look closely at the coupon, for it is only available on Saturday, mind you, this young girl was at the second register and yelling this to me from across the store. Very rude, no manners and quite embarrassing. If I known this, I wouldn't have bothered downloading the app to my phone, which is now useless to. Not to mention, this Family Dollar has empty shelves and a poor selection of items. Also where are the saving? Because a lot these items are less expensive elsewhere. That's what's happening inside the store, it gets worse. The outside of the store reveals the store window is boarded up, which leads me to believe, that the store was recently broken into. Outside are a handful of male vagrants just hanging out there, doing nothing, but waiting for us to walk outside. All in all, I guess this was the last time I've ever shop there."
"Yes, some things might be a little bit harder to get to, because they don't really specify worths at, but you can tell some people their actually do what they do, they love doing, which is work there, even though that's sort doesn't have everything else that I would like, they don't have tea there, that much. It's still actually one of the best ones out here right now."
"EXPENSIVE. Even the employees agree how expensive this store is. I also did notice some employees are confrontational, as other reviews suggest. The store by itself looks and feels, respectfully, like it was trashed and nobody cared to pick up the mess."
"There's always a line when I go. I work at retail and understand stocking can be messy but this is too much. There is no need for this messiness. Thankfully I have never experienced any rude employees but this is definitely not my first choice of store to visit."
