"I went to check out the park before I took my Maltese. It was around 1 PM. There were two large dogs with owners, and they seemed to have full control of their animals. Within 30 minutes of arriving, a huge German Shepherd (GS) & Pit Bull (PB) got there. They became quite aggressive with the other dogs. The owners, who apparently knew each other, did not pay attention to these two dogs. I left shortly after the GS was running at top speed and bumped into me. If I had not been paying attention, the GS would have run me over. The grounds are worn to dirt. It would make sense to have a seperate segregated area for smaller dogs to play. It would also make sense to fence off the rather large area into two sections. This would allow one section to "rest" and allow for some grass or ground cover to grow. Just my opinion!"
"We always stop here on our x-country trips to exercise our Clumber Spaniel. It's a few miles from the Interstate, but it's larger than many other parks, there is a water supply, and people are always nice."
"This is overall a nice dog park with plenty of space for the dogs to run and play. There is only the one large area, a separate small dog area would be a nice addition. The one area does have benches for sitting, a basket of tennis balls is provided and bags for picking up after your pet. It does have a water fountain and some shade trees, as well. The button on the water needs fixed, it is to high pressure and spews into the air. But if you continue to hold the button down it well become normal flow to allow dogs to drink or fill water bowls. There are some areas by the water which hold water and make mud puddles as well. The entrance is down the sidewalk from the parking lot or the road if parking on the road. *There are also 2 playgrounds nearby for kids to play on and both have restrooms."
"The park is great nice green grass, the dog park could use improvement of more grass and benches! Never forget the day when I didn't put my handicapped sticker in the window after walking back to the car ther was a ticket on my windshield it cost me $526 and it was early in the day maby 2 more cars besides mine! A warning would of been nice from the cop that was cuising through the park!"
"1/7/23 The dog park is a nice size. Benches and some shade trees spaced around the park make it comfortable to spend time there, but It could use a little tlc. It gets muddy sometimes making it a little tricky to get around and play, but overall we love coming here. It's become a daily routine. 5/2023 I appreciate that the fencing has been fixed, but the muddiness is still an issue. It is much cleaner than Thompson or SE. Lots of garbage & broken glass at those 2 locations. 9/23 I wish the city could resolve these issues with the water. Filling the hole only lasts a little while as there's a sprinkler head that is still under there spewing water. This year has been a challenge."
