"This was a wonderful little find. This diner had delicious food and a down home atmosphere that is not found in the larger chain restaurants. The one waitress did an impeccable job taking care of the entire place! She is definitely under paid and needs to be tipped well. My husband had the French toast and sausage. It was delicious, French toast was cooked perfectly, soft on the inside and a bit crispy in the edges. I had the best bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Cooked perfectly with a hint of pink on the inside. The outside of the building is very deceiving to what is on the inside. We will definitely stop by again if we pass through the area and would recommend anyone else to stop by."

"We were looking for a locally owned place to eat and came across Bruen's! We went on a Saturday evening and there were lots of locals there. It definitely has a great vibe to it. The people working were just the nicest. The food was so good! Next time we visit Red River Gorge, we will definitely go back to Bruen's!"

"Was in town on business when we saw this place on the Maps. Because I'm a sucker for places that I've never been to before, I suggested this as our lunch stop. We ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and a cod fish sandwich with fries. The burger ruined me for other double burgers. I will now expect all double burgers to come on 2 buns and stacked on top each other. The fish sandwich was underwhelming as it appeared to be a frozen fish filet from the store. Overall, this is a place that you must eat at."

"We were headed home from camping at RRG. We had some time so we looked up restaurants and found this one. It was everything I expected from a country dinner. My husband and son both had fried pork tenderloin sandwiches. My fav is roast beef slathered in gravy. I asked for fries they added it to the dish with the mashed potatoes! It was delish! I wanted to kiss the cook! PS we saw the double cheese burger and it was a mile high, I gotta go back!"
