Reviews of Brookshire Brothers
"Okay store but pricing way too high. They know they can advantage because of no competition. I think they will be competitive when HEB builds close by."
"We are pretty new to the area and decided to take a shopping look at Brookshire Brothers store and we were pleasantly surprised! I love to find the sales and get the sale at the register, no paper coupons! The staff are very helpful and fun to talk to! We have definitely been back!! Mj"
"Outstanding local store. Concerts, pet-friendly, multiple on-tap beers, indoor/outdoor dining areas. On premise butcher, tasty bakery. Reasonable pricing."
"I love the hot food here… fried chicken… get it! A lot of things here to knock you off your diet, but also a lot of good things if you are trying to stay healthy! Sales are good when you can catch them and it’s so nice to have clean store with good produce so close to where I live. And where I do love this store and this should be a 5-star review, I’ll tell you why it’s not. People should treat you well no matter what you look like. I am a local… I have a local business and I try to shop local as much as possible. The nicest way I can put this is, I don’t look like most people around here, and on more than a couple occasions there has been a couple of “ladies” that seem to go out of their way to be rude. I’m not going to put a one star review and fault the store for having some “intolerant and ignorant” people working here, because 90% of the staff is always friendly and pleasant. Regardless of how you want to perceive me, I’ve been in this area over 30 years … not new. I was born very close to here over 50 years ago. Get over it. Thank you to everyone that’s always made me feel welcome in your store. I don’t want to be vague either, so as not to single anyone out, maybe you need a full staff training how to treat people that buy rice, soy sauce, sweet and sour, seaweed, and other stereotypically Asian foods. Next time I’m in here, which I will be, because like I said, I do love this store and I am a local… please don’t ignore me. Please don’t look at me up and down like I don’t belong here. And please don’t treat me like I’m doing something wrong in general. I’m just shopping… same as you folks that don’t have eyes that point up at the ends. Just saying. Be respectful to everyone. You don’t know who lives here and is tired of being treated like a second class citizen."
"It's truly a blessing the Canyon lake has a grocery store like this one. Everything you could possibly need all under one roof. It surprising but often on Friday nights they have a band outside and sell steaks in the fixins for $20.... They even have blackberry cobbler and apple pie. I also really like the sushi and deli on the inside. The produce is always fresh and meat is a little on the expensive side but what you would expect for a small town butcher. The prime ribs, and ribeyes perfectly cut for order. They also have a lot of extra items for grilling and the lake life, like floaties, and tubes, and water socks. All the stuff you would expect is there just next to the lake here and servicing the folks going to Canyon lake Park. They even have a pharmacy and the other cool thing is they have the widest selection of Bluebonnet ice cream you'll ever see! The design and lighting of the building is spectacular with the open clear story windows that keep the building lit year round. I love this place!"
