Reviews of Museum of Illusions Austin
"I honestly was expecting it to be a gimmicky quick walk through, but we ended up having such a good time! We went right at 10am and had the whole place to ourselves. We got to enjoy everything at our own pace with no rushing or crowding. The staff was very sweet and helpful. They checked in on us throughout the visit and offered to take pictures. Always had a smile on their face and made us feel welcomed!"
"Carson was a Rockstar! Very helpful and fun vibe. The museum itself was a blast. Take your time and enjoy each station. A great place for family, friends and team building ❤️"
"I could go on and on about how great the museum is, because it is. However, everyone has done that already. I would like to talk about the customer service. Carson went above and beyond for my me. I am a mom that doesn't get a lot of "friend" time. I was supposed to go to the museum on December 19th, but my kids got sick. One of them was diagnosed with flu A and I started feeling under the weather. I did not want to go on the friend date because one of my friends is pregnant. Anyways, I ended up being diagnosed with covid two days later. So thank goodness I didn't go! Carson had reach out to me to leave a review and I told him I couldn't because I didn't come. Even though I thought the tickets were not transferable, he went ahead and transferred them. I then had to make arrangements to go with my wife. She's a firefighter, so we were able to make arrangements to go while my kid's were supposed to be in daycare. He not only changed the date and time for me, but he even gave me a ticket for my wife! How wonderful! Unfortunately though, this little winter freeze came through and our preschool canceled on the day we were supposed to go. I emailed Carson and told him that I had my children now and that I had to accommodate for naps and that we wouldn't it be able to show up at noon. He allowed me to change my time to later in the day. I also talked to Abbie on the phone who was very helpful. When we got there, We were welcome by everyone. Abbie was there and took lots of pictures and helped out. She was super friendly! Carson actually came up to me and assumed that I was who I was.. of course I had children and a wife! And many time to chat with me and introduce himself. I can't believe they went above and beyond for my family. I was so bummed out to not be able to go, and everything worked out. And even though the children were a little bit of a handful, we still had a great time. I would recommend to anyone!"
"Add this to your Must Do While In Austin list! I had the best time exploring the Museum of Illusions. And I went solo. First, I advise planning for 45 minutes to fully enjoy all the exhibits and take tons of photos. Although I traveled solo, the staff is so great with capturing the photos for you. Haley was the best photo assistant ever! She's really good. Second, this is for everyone. I love the beauty and fun of science so it's hard to visit a space like this and not leave with laughs. And I highly suggest the Vortex Room. That one got me. Lastly, the staff is such a joy. Take your time and get engaged. They're available to create a great experience so talk to them. For $25 this experience was so worth it. I do suggest visiting on a weekday because it's not crazy busy in the early hours."
