About Us

The Owen Theatre, located at 225 Metcalf Street in Conroe, Texas, is a beloved institution that is home to the Players Theatre Company. We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Jim Walker, a long-time member, actor, director, and mentor of the company. His presence will be greatly missed.
The theatre offers additional parking behind the building, between Thompson and Main Streets, for the convenience of our patrons. A covered walkway on the east side of the building provides easy access from the back parking area to the front doors.
The Players Theatre Company is proud to be funded in part by The Conroe Commission on Arts and Culture, allowing us to continue providing quality performances and entertainment to the community. Join us at the Owen Theatre for a memorable experience filled with creativity, talent, and passion for the arts.

"Very pretty theater. The cast for Holiday Inn needs to hang it up. It was the worst of the worst. No one has any talent. What was with white wigs?"
"It was a night of awesomeness. The show was VERY, VERY entertaining, worth every penny. fun for the entire family. Guaranteed you'll be singing along."
"We attend the Conroe Conjuring with Magician Harry Maurer. This was a very entertaining show both with fantastic magic and comedy, which engages the audience. They're planning on having a new performance each month, which is nice to hear. I think many more people should take some time out of their schedule to attend and support your local magicians."
"Warm friendly theatre. I was honoured to be invited with a group of fabulous friends to a dress rehearsal of "The Leading Ladies" Must go to if you enjoy a fun farce and a great night out!! Here's to all of the cast.... Break a sequin y'all!!"
"We visited for the first time in Dec 22. My wife and I saw the Charlie Brown show. It was a great experience. Took a minute to use the right door and found very nice staff. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. All can see the stage from any where with great sound as well. Seating for handicap was hard. When purchasing tickets on the website, when selected it didn't show any special seats. We made the purchase and hoped for the best. They advised to wheel her to the seat and transfer. Not a very big deal but not convenient and caused stress on her. The show was great and recommend going and seeing shows at this location."
