"Love this place, playground is Awesome with musical accessories and lake is nice with huge pavilion and walking trail around the lake, also has a kyak launch!!!"
"Tue 1/30/24 My 1st visit to Lakeside Park ; I may not be an affluent resident of Heritage Oaks adjacent to Lakeside Park Angleton's, "hidden gem," but I'm grateful the city has made public access to a much nicer city park for everyone to enjoy. Took my furbabies to enjoy the amenities everyone kept raving about. My pets are of a fairly larger scale but gentle & love ppl just not very socialized w/other dogs for this reason they're always on a harness + leash wherever we take them for their own security as well as everyone else's. Furbabies, sis & I were enjoying our visit to the park immensely until of course other dog parents don't follow the rules! An elderly couple approaching the trail had their small size yappy barking dog OFF THE LEASH!!!! We were opposite them around the restroom area trying to ignore yappy dog while staying calm/cool collected to avoid our pets being triggered. To our shock, elderly couple/neglectful dog parents were egging on yappy dog by praising it for being BRAVE & taking on BIG DOGS when big dogs(my furbabies) naturally barked back in response! Shame on negligent dog parents! Besides the fact that they were elderly & I doubt they could run to prevent their unleashed dog from instigating trouble they should be more vigilant for the safety of their pet & others no need to instigate anything w/ignorant comments! An experience to remember. Was definitely proud of the way my furbabies have learned to send love & light & keep it moving ❤️ However, Lakeside Park of Angleton definitely needs to enforce policy of pets on leash while @ park. Visible/large print signage helps. Would like to return here as it is lovely. However, I didn't feel welcomed by Heritage Oaks obvious, "hoity toity," residents; like country mouse go back to your farm & don't tread on our resort : ( I'm a 25+ yr resident of Angleton & a tax payer also $$$$$$"
"Nice clean park with a 1 mile walking path. Different play towards music & interactive toys fixed to sturdy equipment. Fun for all ages~~"
"Loved this park! My son is almost two and really enjoyed everything here. The musical aspect of the park is great for littles and bigger kids/adults too. Walking along the lake is gorgeous and wasn’t too crowded."
"This park is a gem. Today was our first time going here and we were absolutely blown away. It's the PERFECT place to bring your little lovies! Everything is state of the art, brand new, no rust, no loose screws (unlike other parks in the area...) the rubber flooring on the play area is so innovative. All musical instruments function as they should and they actually sound quite pleasant. There's a multitude of activities just in this one play structure. It seems as if it was designed for little ones. No shade on big kids, but after having my toddler run over by a big kid in a tunnel at another park this morning, I wholeheartedly appreciate the thought that bigger... well... rougher kids wouldn't necessarily want to play on little slides and whatnot. The woman's bathroom was so clean, self flushing potties, nice sinks/hand dryers, and a/c! Though the men's room was locked for some reason. I would absolutely rent out the Pavillion for a party if possible. It's beautiful! The entire vibe of this park is so enchanting. There wasn't a single thing missed. It has the little park, the pavilion, the trail, beautiful flower beds and trees, big open spaces, even hills. There is something for everyone. There was even a police officer who came and sat for a spell, which made me feel safer in an environment I already felt comfortable in. Bottom line, check this park out, it's amazing. Even the people we encountered (little and grown) were polite and kind. Cannot wait to go back again! ✨️"
