Reviews of Dixon W. Holman Park
"Very fun place to come after school. Nice trail to walk your dog, yourself or with family/friends."
"this place needs to be updated on the information markers. most of the foliage for monarch butterfly, that was placed there in the foundation of the park no longer exist. however is kept clean and is always quiet. great place to walk dogs, have a picnic. I would love to see it brought back to life it's a great refuge for monarchs if the original plants are replaced and more information on them as u walk would b amazing. I think something u can interact with ur phone to find out more facts. and maybe a couple more benches or places to feed birds would make better for improvement. but as it sits it's a lovely quiet place."
"Favorite park to walk my dog. They have dog bags and are never out. There are two trash cans along the paved trail. There is also a dirt trail to follow and a playground and a field. This park is a butterfly field with plants meant to attract migrating butterflies. There are also informational plaques about local plants and animals in the area. It is a small park but very nice. It is also a pokestop."
"Not really much for the kids to play on or with. I run there sometimes since it is close to my house. Though there is a lot of bushes and brush. When it gets warmer out I don't run there to avoid mosquitoes and ticks. I don't think they landscape maintain the trail on a regular basis. I have even seen a suitcase and tent on the trail as if someone was living back there. They also have a sign up that says the park is a habitat to Bobcats. This has deterred me from bringing my kids here."
"You can not reach the park from Burney Road. Traveling east on GreenOaks, there is a sign in the median pointing out where to make your right turn on Burney Place. Parking on street along Pine Hollow Ct. Park has climbing apparatus and a couple of swings and beautiful trails. Nice shaded area with benches for parents."
