"The Tech space seems amazing online but in reality it's not that great. The idea of a Tech Space is awesome but the Third floor is hot and muggy, this building is extremely old and it needs some serious renovations. Second floor smells like old food, sometimes trash bins are left there with food and it's not super comfortable to study. Recommendations: Change carpets, they have stains, don't have kid groups in the second floor that should be a quiet area. Outlets: Add outlets to be able to connect laptops, those desks on the second floor have some cool outlets but they don't work. Restrooms: Need renovations, everything has a weird old building smell. Add some fresheners. The Coordinator I think her name was Lauren, was not very friendly, I didn't feel comfortable when she gave me a tour. She said if I activated the alarm I would have to pay who knows how much money I think she said $100, thats just rude also the way she tells you, just ask people not to do it."
"A great place to meet up with a group and organize a creative project and get to work."
"Great art businesses inside. But the City of McAllen definitely needs to let them decorate the outside of the mural. Black arial font on a white background is the opposite of creative. Please add murals on the outside of the walls and decorate the sidewalk. Also, add better lighting on Main Street."
"Lots of good events happen here. Facilities are always improving."
"A place to be creative, bring your art skills, be different, and enjoy art. Be yourself. Do not forget to visit their website to consider different studios, classes or you may want to bring in your own creative stuff. This is the right place for it."
