"I purchased a home in Glenn Heights a year and a half ago. Sunday 6/26 my Bosch unit started blowing hot air. I called a technician out for diagnostic and he told me the Heat pump is under warranty and he is not a Bosch technician so I can not work on the unit. I was informed by the deceased previous care taker to call Locks in Desoto they could point me in the right direction. Monday 6/27 I speak with the service advisor asking for the company name that he sold the unit to so I could contact them for diagnostic and repair, per Bosch.com protocol. The service advisor told me " We don't keep that information," I explained to him the circumstance and once again " We cant give out that information" Its not like I was asking for the technician first born girl daughter social security number."
"Big place. Sparse stock. Having what you need without ordering is hit and miss. HVAC counter had a very 'don't care' attitude. Brought me a part that was not workable and I easily found the one I needed on my own."
"Go elsewhere!! They will hand you the wrong components even when you bring what you are trying to replace with you to get it matched up properly. This led to $1,400 out of my pocket over a mismatched component for my AC. 3 days vacation time, ran new wires, called 2 AC techs out, ordered and waited in the heat for other parts I didn’t actually need. Completely disassembled my system looking for a problem that didn’t exist. Refused to refund or exchange when I placed the old part in their hands so they could determine a proper replacement. They just as easily could have handed me something that could have damaged my other components, started a fire, or exploded causing injury or death. Correct voltage matching is a key aspect of replacement electrical components. Their failure to proved the correct part cost me dearly but they take no responsibility. Refusing to at a minimum exchange for the correct part is just adding insult to injury. Another sign of incompetence is telling me they had no way to check the component. It’s a store filled with wire, switches, connectors and ohm meters. I know I could pull off the shelf items from that store and make a test rig inside 30 minutes to verify what they handed me still works. Just not in my system because of voltage mismatch."
