"Where do I begin... So first off there is nothing “happy” about this place, based upon our experience. My niece is a new mom and she had never had a pedicure in her life. She is a nurse so she required a very short simple manicure. She called five different salons to price check and this place supposedly had the best prices. She got a French tip, pedicure and a French tip manicure, both very short, which took under an hour and from our understanding should’ve been a $50 job, total. I got a regular pedicure with a polish nothing special. A short, quick acrylic set—Far-less intricate than anything acrylic I’ve ever gotten. The most I have ever paid for fingernails/nail art, which lasted weeks and was both professional and beautiful, was $50, plus tip. When I went up to the register to pay, the man who apparently owns or was managing told us that we owed him $275 total. I was blown away, but I didn’t want to upset my niece or cause a scene. As we walked out to the car, we started to chat and realize that we both were equally shocked, appalled, and unhappy. First off the misleading/lying/false advertising over the phone which is why we chose to drive several miles to them, rather than one of many other options. Second, subpar work, which about four times the amount it should’ve been. I saw they were locking up the shop so as the owner came out, I respectfully confronted him and asked how on earth he came up with those prices? He fumbled his words trying to tell her that her french tip was based on length…and you’ll see from the photos it’s just about the shortest one you can get. I was trying not to be disrespectful but I asked him how and why he thought he could get over on people in that manner? Getting to provide a service—especially a beauty one is a really special exciting field to work in and visit as a treat. They crushed someone on her first visit, literally overcharged us to the point that we consider calling the cops because we felt robbed. Rather than cause a scene and be ugly we got in the car to leave. Immediately we saw that he was in his car with his headlights on, pointing at us watching the entire time. He then proceeded to follow us out of the parking lot. At that point it was not only violating, but scary. Part of me felt like we were racially profiled. Perhaps he’s just an unscrupulous swindler who took advantage of us, and likely others. We are brand new to the El Paso area and over the past couple of days I have found what appeared to be far superior salons with clear-cut, understandable, pricing, presented to you upfront. I really want my money back. Supporting a business like this disgusts me, viscerally. I want people to read this and never ever have to go to this experience. Not all of us can afford to do this regularly, so to be taken advantage of so severely, it’s not only uncalled for, but disheartening and demeaning on many levels. To the other readers, what would you do, how would you feel? What is the correct course of action here? I do not believe that this was an isolated act and that he should just get away with what he did. Obviously, we will never go to this salon again. We will tell everybody that we know exactly what we experienced. People like this do not deserve to have thriving Businesses. This is the type of sneaky, lying, covert, supposed to be capitalism? Way to contribute to a negative emotional economy. Had we known this establishment took joy in being cruel and grimy, we could’ve saved time and money. Our nails would look better and so would my bank account. Shame on this business. I implore you to make this right. Being a bully and pointing your headlights at us and following because you more or less lied to us and robbed us is sick and wrong, So is how you cheated us. What is your plan to remedy this? Regards, Jeanelle"
"I got my nails done here two weeks ago after I left I noticed a weird pain on my big toe, I thought it was normal soreness then the acrylic nail fell off and I noticed this black stuff under! The girl that did my nails was new idk if she did know how to properly do nails since she was struggling with the acrylics on my hands too. But definitely will not come back I hope I didn’t catch a fungus or anything here! It is most definitely not a bruise I didn’t hit myself the pain started after I left this place!"
"Great service!! Just did a walk-in with my mom to get our nails and pedicure done. The staff were nice and did a job well done. Love how my nails look. And the chair massage was a bones!!"
"Requested an acrylic full set and it seemed as the lady didn’t really know what she was doing. My nails did not come out smooth, instead with bubbles on all nails. Then she smudged my pinky nail leaving a stain, acknowledged the stain on my nail and didn’t even bother fixing it as she seemed to be going as fast as she could to get the next person in. Complete lack of quality service and poor etiquette. Can’t wait to get these nails off!"
