"Got a membership here because of the perk of the child care. My daughter loved playing with the other kids while I got a workout in. That said, I held a membership for about a year, and my experience here was a giant lesson in frustration. The location always felt crowded regardless of the time I came in. For as big as it is, there just doesn't seem to be enough of the right equipment. Too many unused ellipticals that are only filled when they have a morning treadmill class. I was regularly having to modify my workouts because I couldn't find free equipment, and was wasting time waiting for equipment to free up. Classes are okay if you can get in them. I often had to set a timer to remind me to sign up as soon as the class opened the night before, otherwise there was no way I was going to get a spot. Also had issues with classes being listed, then cancelled shortly before starting. I don't recommend it, and don't plan on returning."
"2.5 stars for me The restroom is always filthy broken toilet (only 2 toilets) and one working one for the amount of fellas in here is not right. Always a waiting time for daycare and they don’t take cash to buy anything. How is this even a thing? I go to Crunch gyms all around East Texas and Arizona and this one falls short big time. The experience is definitely not the same as the others at this location. I think it’s time to switch to another gym."
"My experience at the newly opened Crunch Fitness has been disappointing on multiple fronts. The facility is shockingly filthy for being so new, and the lack of cleanliness extends across the gym. From trainers to management, the entire staff seems to lack people skills, making interactions uncomfortable. To add to the frustration, the machines were broken merely two weeks after the grand opening and took an eternity to fix. It's disheartening that such issues arose so quickly in a supposedly new establishment. Despite having canceled my membership due to these ongoing problems, the customer service remains deplorable. From the trainers to the management, there is a noticeable lack of care for member satisfaction. Even the lowest-costing membership proved not worth the hassle. Crunch Fitness appears to follow the pattern of big box gyms, indifferent to member concerns and more focused on taking money than addressing issues. I've decided to stick with privately owned gyms, where pride in their establishment and the services they provide is evident. Save yourself the headache, and consider other options before committing to Crunch Fitness"
"So far, as an early morning person 5am-6:30am, it’s not packed at all. I did go once around 12:30pm on a Saturday and I still didn’t have to wait for any machine or weights even though it was slightly packed. Haven’t used the restrooms besides for the lockers and to wash my hands, but seemed clean to me. Huge turf area with free weights and lots of nice machines too. Overall pretty happy to work out here. Andrea in the front was the one who showed me around and was very helpful with the questions I had."
"Good gym, great amenities, fantastic staff. I love the daycare ladies and everyone of the fitness instructors that I’ve met have been great at what they do. Some front desk staff are fantastic, others aren’t so attentive and will just ignore you. I’m not really bothered by it but I could see how it would be an issue with people. I want to reiterate that I love the group fitness instructors here and the variety of classes. I do think that the class time slots should be staggered by 5-10 min so classes can stay on schedule, but it’s just an observation/suggestion. It does get very crowded and it’s impossible to get on certain pieces of equipment (looking at you, leg extension) but at the price point in a military town, it’s to be expected. If I could change something, I’d add another studio along with step equipment for people to workout in as the main studio is usually full with classes. The star deduction is because I am not a fan of the sanitation option available. The paper towels are thin and rip apart when you’re trying to wipe down community yoga mats and other equipment. I feel like in a post panini world, sanitation isn’t the place to pinch pennies. Just get disinfectant wet wipes and dispensers. Overall, this is a great spot and I’m very happy with my membership."
