I chose the Vegetarian Manchurian Noodles, a dish that boasts a harmonious blend of Indian spices and traditional Chinese cooking techniques. The noodles were interspersed with succulent Manchurian balls, their crispy exterior giving way to a soft, flavorful interior. Although the wait time of 25-30 minutes was a testament to the truck's popularity, it did allow for the absorption of the vibrant ambiance that only a gathering of food enthusiasts can provide. The menu, a litany of comfort food, ranged from spicy Szechuan offerings to the milder, yet equally savory, Manchow soups, each priced reasonably. Despite the crowd, the food truck managed to maintain an inviting atmosphere, enhanced by the symphony of sizzling woks and the warm glow of fairy lights. However, the dish, while satisfactory, didn't quite reach the heights of culinary delight that one might expect from such a fusion. The noodles, though well-cooked, lacked the depth of flavor necessary to elevate them beyond the ordinary. The Manchurian balls, while adeptly fried, needed a zestier sauce to truly shine. In summary, Hakka Express serves as a solid choice for those looking to satiate their Indo-Chinese cravings. While my experience was pleasant, with a few tweaks to intensify the flavors, Hakka Express could easily transform their dishes from good to exceptional. "I have never had such good Indo Chinese in Austin in last 21 years. The taste is just like India. I ordered manchow soup, schezwan noodles Hakka noodles and Manchurian gravy ( came with rice ) and they were all flavorful. Best part is they made it spicy which I asked for, good enough to actually be spicy. Usually in the US when you say spicy you still get medium spicy but this was India hot. Loved it."

We have tried their Lollipops (both kinds), Chicken Hakka Noodles and Tandoori Chicken Fried Rice. All the dishes were awesome. The food quality and quantity was great too. The staff is very friendly and will help with food selection if you ask them. This is the best place for Indo-Chinese food in Austin and has become our go-to place for Indo-Chinese food."
