Reviews of Uncle Zhou
"Great place for hand pulled noodles! For appetizers we had the scallion pancakes and the pork and chive dumplings. The dumplings were good. Only a little better than frozen dumplings. The scallion pancakes were delicious! Soft and crispy at the same time. I highly recommend them! I ordered H3 which is the beef hand drawn wide noodles. The meat was tender and juicy and could definitely tell that the noodles were made by hand. The broth could have had little more flavor, but all together it was very good. My husband got P10 which is pork belly with preserved veges and it was served with a bowl of rice. The pork was so good and tender with a lot of flavor. However, I do wish it came with more veges. Definitely a good place for Chinese and if you go on a Saturday for dinner try to go at 5 because they tend to get quite busy at that time!"
"Dishes were excellent, even above expectations knowing how good it was supposed to be. Dial Oil hand pulled wide noodles are a must! Pork belly was absolutely excellent on flavor and cooking as well as the dragon eggplant. These last 2 dishes were more family style and enough for a table of 4 to share. Place gets very busy and we had to write our own name down on the wait list since there was no staff up front. Small waiting area makes for good conversation with others waiting. Staff was friendly enough but always under the pressure with the rush it felt. The reason you go is for the dial oil noodles and then other plates you want to try. It's not as spicy as you think even with chili flakes. A must return!"
"Very kind and attentive staff! Was treated kindly which helped raise the experience. The food was pretty great as well, we started off with the scallion pancakes and moved onto our main entrees the hand pulled noodles and a chicken and fish dish! We were definitely stuffed by the end of our meal and are looking forward to trying the rest of it!"
"This place is great. Perfect seating and the atmosphere is just so relaxing. The smells coming from thr kitchen are fantastic, that and watching the guy making the noodles gave it that home feel. We ordered the fried dumplings, the hand made noodles with beef tendon, and the sweet and garlic pork. A very nice serving of dumplings and they were delicious. The beef tendon with noodles was delicious, it could have had a little more tendon, but other then that delicious. The noodles were delicious along with some black mushrooms that I've never has. The sweet and spicy pork was definitely not we expected in flavor and texture. Once we tasted it was greatness. I definitely recommend. Over all check this place out. Also remember this food is hot and fresh so except some waiting time for your food. I also liked that as it was filling up the atmosphere didn't seemed rushed, the staff was very attentive and took care of business. I definitely recommend."
"Good flavor and quality. I’d recommend the eggplant dragon (茄子龍) - it’s a sweet and sour, slightly crispy eggplant dish. Noodles are a nice texture - I would recommend it if you haven’t tried hand pulled noodles before. The beef tendon soup noodles I ordered had very little tendon, but it was tasty otherwise. And we ordered a pork dish (魚香肉絲) that was great with rice - slightly sweet/sour, savory, and a bit of heat. Overall, nice place for some quality Chinese food. Service isn’t perfect but they’re friendly."
