Reviews of Caliber Collision
"Our customer service representative took care of our issues. She did her job. However, their quality control needs some help or retraining. The customer shouldn't be able to spot issues when walking up to the vehicle. I'm glad this all was insurance paid and nothing out of pocket!!"
"If you have nice car, or care about the details on your ride, then STAY AWAY from this repair shop. I have many complaints so I''ll begin with my service advisor. First off, let me say that my service advisor Justin M. seems like a good guy, his customer service needs some work, however. During the repair process my service advisor's call back percentage was below 50%. His excuses was that he either "forgot" or was "busy with another customer" and couldn't call me back with updates. My car was delayed 3 times and they kept the car for almost 7 weeks! I understand that I was not the only customer, but sending a text only takes a few seconds. After picking up the car I had the following problems: I had a flat tire by the time I got home for the evening. I took the car into Discount Tire and they discovered that my rim was bent, the same one they were supposed to repair (see photo of invoice). The "brand new" tire they said they installed on my car was over half worn (see photo of Discount Tire tread reader). After looking over my car the next day in the sunlight, I discovered that they damaged my powder coated brake caliper during the wheel mounting process. One of my rear window louver mounting clips is missing and replaced with tape (see photo). All my louver washers are gone after I specifically asked Justin to remind the mechanics not to lose them (see photo). When they remounted my side skirts, they told me the would use mounting tape (like I did when I installed them initially) but did not use mounting tape. They also did not fasten one of the screws all the way (see photo). There was paint over spray on my roof, front fender, and inside my vehicle rear seats. As of this review (1 Jan 2024), they still haven't replaced all the car's decals. My powder coated lugs nuts were damaged during the wheel mounting process. The "brand new" paint job done by the shop has swirls in it. I eventually spoke to the Manager hoping to find a solution to this, but no, IT GOT WORSE! All of these defects I have proof of i.e., receipts from Discount Tire describing bent rim, photo of tread depth device showing worn tire, pictures of missing/damaged parts, service techs at Discount Tire recounting events, emails from OnStar warning me of my flat tire, etc. I brought all of this up to the manager, Daniel, and he accused me of lying saying that Discount Tire would not mount a tire on a bent rim, that he "has never seen that in his career", and that the tire he gave me was brand new. Even after I showed him the tread depth meter reading from Discount Tire, Daniel still refused to believe me saying he needed more proof. This was a very frustrating experience and Daniel, as a Manager, should have fixed everything at that moment. But he didn't. Daniel “stone-walled” the whole process. I began to feel that Justin was actually beginning to believe me but had his manager, Daniel, to deal with. After finally speaking with the service tech at Discount Tire, who confirmed my claim about the bent rim, my service advisor has requested that I bring my vehicle back in on Wednesday (3 Jan) to have it reserviced. So I spent 7 weeks waiting for my car to be repaired. I had to take it to Discount Tire twice because of the flat tire and bent rim waiting over 6 hours total. I've spent several more hours speaking with Justin and Daniel trying to figure out how to move forward with the repair process all while essentially being accused of lying or misrepresenting the facts. And now I have to waste even more of my time taking my car back to them hoping that they repair it correctly for the second time. Steer clear of Cavendar Caliber. They do shoddy work, their mechanics don't seem to care much, they overlook/don't care about details, and the management is unresponsive at best, and down right stone-walling at worst. This is the WORST experience I have ever had at any auto shop. STAY AWAY. I will be complaining to the BBB about this establishment, they are a curse to the Cavendar name."
"This my third time going to Caliber Collision, they always deliver great results and excellent customer service. Suzana was my service advisor for 2 vehicles, she kept in communication and explained the process to my husband and I very thoroughly & also showed empathy regarding the situation. It’s incredibly hard now a days to find a place that has great customer service, and Caliber always exceeds expectations. A big thank you to the team and especially to Suzana!!!!"
"Very accommodating. They drove me to a nearby car rental company, stayed in contact with me and let me get my car outside of business hours. Beautiful work as well. Justin was very helpful as well as their front desk staff."
"Unfortunately, my experience with caliber collision after my accident has continued to be a disappointing one. My truck was estimated to take a little over a month after hitting a deer and for whatever reason it was rushed and poorly put together. My truck was returned to me in early August with so many defects, now we’re in October I’m still waiting for more corrections to be made. I attempted to take my truck back to get fixed and upon my arrival, I was informed that the building AC was out and it created so much more inconvenience than necessary. Joe was my assigned service advisor, and I’m still waiting for him to contact me to get several other issues corrected. Poor communication. He was supposed to schedule the third attempt for my repair when the AC in the building was fixed and I still haven’t been contacted. I’m very unimpressed about my experience, even after my insurance and I paid for an expensive repair. I’m now concerned about getting the corrections done, even with a lifetime warranty. I hope that Caliber attempts to make this right and demonstrates more integrity than what I’ve been shown thus far. -Agape"
