"I am from Grapevine and have been coming to Messina's as long as I can remember (Over 40 Years). This place is hit or miss. The last time I came here was a miss, and the sad part for me, is the situation was so bad, that I will never come back. The employees facing the customer are flat out rude. I substantiate this allegation by the last 5 times I came to have work done, was treated like I had the plague. I even brought a friend the last two times for an unbiased observer. His comment ‘Wow, that girl was cranky’ I don't understand this attitude. When I walk through the door, I'm happy to be in the museum of shoe repair from my home town. The family needs to hire an operations consultant, and utilize the expertise and equipment they have (one of the few places left in the country with this kind of equipment). The place should be a multi-million dollar business, with income margins above 50%. The employees should be highly paid, and happy to have a job that pays as well as it does, thankful that another customer walks through the door, and have a quality control/check before delivering the product. Sometimes they do excellent work, and sometimes, which blows my mind, they take a shortcut and return a repair that I could have done at home. Like I said, hit or miss. And even that wouldn't be so bad if they weren’t a bunch of jerks."
