"I live close to here so I’ve been here a handful of times. I’m always disappointed. The food is not good simple as that. I could get over that if the margaritas were spectacular but they’re worse. They taste like cheap tequila and the balance of sweet to sour to liquor is never harmonious. I’ll drive 15 minutes down the road to go to Julio’s instead. The pros to Herreras are the staff. They are great and attentive. The outside patio is nice."
"My favorite place to visit. The staff is always smiling and in good spirits. The food is excellent and there is a variety of dishes to choose from. The atmosphere is nostalgic and reminds me of the Tex Mex Cafe my family would frequent when I was a little girl."
"Great place to go out with friends and chop it up. We sat out on the balcony while it was raining with the fan blowing and it was the perfect ambiance to catch up with our buddies. Beware, the margs are strong!! I’m a 4’11 woman and at other Mexican restaurants, I typically drink 2-3 margaritas in order to feel a buzz but I just ordered one at Herrera’s and I was golden for the night. We had two men who were our waiters/servers and they took very good care of us even when we held off on ordering to wait for our friend to arrive, they didn’t pressure us to order or come by too often to check on us. Plus when our friend arrived, they brought out a fresh basket of chips and salsa, which is the type of quality service you don’t get often. I also ended my night with a spiked Mexican Coffee, it was delicious but I did not expect it to be hot. The best decision I made that night ordering wise was the Tres Leches Cheesecake, if you order it, you will not regret it!"
"I really enjoyed this place. Nice atmosphere. Food was priced well! And good!!! Just needed a little more salt added to everything! But it's better to add salt versus it being too salty."
