I have an allergy to smells, and most salons I've been to are too small and not aired out enough for me to be able to go there. "My friends know that I'm a review addict and will not go to places that are 3.5 stars and below, so I was very skeptical when a friend suggested I get a hair cut from My Envy Salon. But I really needed a haircut ASAP so I figured I'd give them a shot and help out a small business at the same time. First impression: Very Texan and felt like home in downtown Round Rock. The antique furniture makes it look unique, the space is very wide open with tall ceilings which is refreshing. Friendly staff and they even provide FREE wine/beer/soda...SCORE! So I had my haircut appointment with Melanie and I thought she was personable and professional, asking how I would like my hair. I like giving my hair stylist free reign and creativity on my spiky hair, with the only consideration to make my head look smaller than it is (I have a big fat head!). Melanie was careful yet efficient, making my hair look great in about 20 minutes. I would think that it takes new hairstylists several times before it's perfect, but I would say Melanie did a great job for the first time! Overall, I was extremely happy with the experience, the price was very reasonable. I'm glad I did not follow my reviews instinct this time around or I would've missed out. Easily 5 stars!"
