"First time in, immediately signed up for the monthly membership. You get a free drink from the bar and are welcomed right away. The service is impeccable and the whole set up is really nice. Looking forward to getting another haircut before my wedding in a few weeks!"
"Over all Scissors and Scotch is a great barbershop and the staff there are really cool people. I highly recommend Amanda to cut your hair. She has great attention to detail and is easy to talk to. I’ve changed my hair style 3 times and each time she talk through it with me and understand what I’m looking for. If you get a haircut on a regular basis I recommend getting the membership. It’s totally worth it. You get a complimentary cocktail/ beer with each full service hair cut and the bartenders there always make great cocktails. You also get a discount on product and The only complaint I have is on the business side of things. I saw Amanda for almost a year with a membership. The shop has this ranking system to promote a stylist/ barber to the next level aka an “elite” stylist/barber. This is an added $7 cost to the customer on top of the monthly membership fee + tax and then the tip. I would understand if this additional cost was added to non-members as an additional incentive to get the membership. These extra elite cost gets me the exact same haircut, same service, no additional time. I’m certain that only a small % of $7 is given to the barber. So it seems like the title change to elite barber/ stylist benefits the business the most and not the people actually doing the work or the customers. If I’m committed to the barbershop with a membership I shouldn’t be charged more because a stylist/ barber gets a title change. The barbershop is already going to get my money every month like clock work. And if I am being charged more I should see additional services added or increase the time that the barber is expected to complete the haircut. At the very least, give the barber/ stylist $5 out of those $7 since they are the ones building the relationship, doing the work, and keeping the business alive. That would make me feel better about paying more for a stylist and getting no additional benefits. Take care of your stylists/ barbers because they are a big reason why people continue to come back and spend money with y’all. Also does the business owner consider that people will take the additional $7 charge out of the barber/stylist tip? I know at most shops the barber/stylist keep 100% of the tip. This means there are instances where money is being diverted from the employee and to the employer. Seems a bit unethical to shrug that off and see it as an issue the business can’t help. For these reasons I canceled my membership and will be going to a different barbershop. I’d love to come back but would love to see the stylist/ barber title promotion system reworked so it benefits everyone but mostly the barbers/ stylists who keep the business thriving."
"This was actually my first time attending this establishment and I must say impressed, very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Sydney was a great host and very knowledgeable. Flor who did my service was excellent and took her time to make sure it was on point. I will be definitely going again."
"I have gotten both of us memberships because of the convenience with scheduling, consistent availability and quality of service. The hot towel and free drink are what keeps me coming back monthly. This is by far the best pixie cut I’ve gotten."
"Knowing them through whiskeyX. Candy took the fade seriously. It turns out it’s the best skin fade I had. The old fashion is a little bit too sweet. But overall experience is good. Will come visit again."
