"Great haircut, and great experience! I would highly recommend, especially with the student discount. I have been here several times, and I plan on coming for the rest of my time here. Shoutout to Rick especially for the great conversation and haircut!"
"Been getting my haircut here for 26 years (I am almost 30). Its been the same core group of barbers and has a great old-school barber shop feel. I dont even have to tell Christina what I want, just sit down and she makes me look good every time--each haircut is somehow better than the last one. Now that I work an office job, I have been taking advantage of Mr. Leon's shoe-shining service as well, he can make a beat up pair of loafers look brand new."
"This is a Houston institution. A real old school family barber shop, and the grandfather, uncles, aunties and all barbers cut great hair, have for years. Snake and shoeshines too if that’s you’re thing. If you want a solid haircut in inner city Houston this is your spot. Hot razor shave too?!? The best."
"Since moving to Houston about a year ago, I got my haircut at three other places before I tried Times Barber Shop. Times was hands-down the best. I wish I found it sooner. It’s going to be my go-to barbershop now. I was extremely pleased with the way my barber, James, cut my hair. I arrived at 9:30 am on a Saturday, and there were already five people ahead of me. I received a warm greeting and was given an estimate of my wait — about 30 minutes. I was invited to have a seat at one of the empty barber chairs. About a half hour later, a couple more barbers arrived, and it was my turn to get a haircut. The shop is clean and professional — a traditional place. The walls are decorated with college pennants from seemingly every school except my alma mater — University of Kansas. I’ll have to remedy that! Prices are right — $20 for a regular cut. James asked me how I wanted my hair cut, and he listened carefully and asked questions. He nailed it the first time, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’ll be back."
"Today i went to this barbershop for the first and definitely the last time. Let me start by pointing out how unprofessional they are. While you're getting your haircut the mirror is behind your back and you're unable to see what going on and point out any mistakes. As soon as you're done you don't even get a chance to check your haircut and you're just asked to pay rushed out the door. If you ask for a shave it will be done by a cheap double blade Gillette and not the traditional barber's single razor. Lastly i went in to get a fade and beard clean up. While my hair got ruined my beard wasn't even touched let alone look and be clean. My pictures speak for them selves. (I blurred out my face to maintain privacy)"
