"Garbage, they accepted us as insurance and then told us we need to replace our roof 3 months later because of damage. I have an inspector come out from their claims department, he says our roof does not need to be replaced and theres only 2 shingles damaged. I had another inspector come out after to verify this, and they still want to drop us cause our roof "has reached its useful lifespan". This company is trash. Don't use them."

"Recent "baby tornado" flew through our yard recently, knocking down tree limbs and our fence. Hesitant to contact TWIA after the horrible experience with Harvey damage, I wasn't expecting much. Not this time though. From the first call, everything from reporting the claim, the adjuster, to follow-up has been a stress-free experience. The adjusters were very thorough in inspecting the property and even found prior storm damage. Having had no response on our Harvey claim with ceiling damaged (which we finally could afford to repair Feb 2022!), this was a welcomed experience. In the 30 yrs. my family has lived at this house one block from Trinity Bay, with flood, home and wind coverage, this is only the 3rd time a claim has been made on windstorm, the first was Ike. There's a reason they call it insurance. I and my 92 yr old mother, thank you"

"Jeffery was a fantastic roof adjuster and explained everything during the inspection process of my claim. Thomas was great in helping me get my claim approved and in providing all of the needed documentation. I'm happy to have TWIA coverage, especially after having just gone through the claims process for a roof replacement. Was much easier than I was expecting."

"TWIA BEWARE. They are canceling policies for any reason... They canceled my policy because no original certificate since 1990 ... didn't own the building 31 years ago. They took more than 1/2 of my payment plus "surcharges". I suspect this is retribution for claims made and partially paid from Hurricane Harvey... I had to fight for reimbursement for damages. Watch out for these guys if you live on the island. BTW their reviews are so bad they have their employees give them a 5 star rating...lol"

"They have screwed up my billing every year, and every year I have gone at least 2 weeks without coverage because they do not send the correct information to my mortgage lender. Their customer service is A JOKE! They really have no people skills and clearly their calls are recorded so their supervisors obviously don't care either that their staff is rude to customers. If you have am option steer clear of TWIA."
