"It was fine 2 or 3 years ago when Rob worked there since he was black and obviously knew how to cut black folks’ hair. Nowadays, it’s just two white ladies who say they know how to cut our hair and get offended if asked. They had me and others pick our own hair out before cutting our hair, they have absolutely zero clue about shrinkage, and just generally have no idea how to cut black hair. But based on my friends’ experiences, they can’t cut white ppl hair neither unless it’s a buzzcut or the most basic of cuts. If you ask for a trim, they cut whole inches off. You ask for a shape up, they flat out don’t. I’m convinced people only get their haircut here when they need it cut asap and don’t have time to go off base."

"The barbers here do a good enough job. It's a bit difficult to find who gives the best cuts, and it seems difficult to get a consistently clean cut here (there's almost always some stray hairs or patches), but all in all, the haircuts are always passable and meet military standards. They're good at getting you in and out if you're tight on time, so long as there's no line. Lines get up to 3 or 4 people at the most, usually, but if there is one, your wait time is really at the mercy of the people in front of you."
