"Got into an accident with someone insured with this company (they were at fault). They say that they cancelled then reinstated their policy the same day?? They’re giving an excuse not to provide coverage. I would switch companies right away if you have them. They don’t have your back. Also, lawyer up"

"This company is a Scam that provides insurance cards to anyone...collects premiums & then avoids paying out claims. On 11/24/23 the Landa Brothers company was working on a home in my neighborhood near downtown Houston. A guy driving their company truck from Honduras who didn't even have a driver's license & was "supposedly " "covered " by the this company's policy he drove directly into the front of my Miata while I was blowing the horn attempting to get his attention. The police reports diagram shows that he was 100% at fault. The company is a Scam & they've just been giving me the runaround with Ingrid Sherman the supposed "adjuster" that's handling my claim. I'm contacting the Attorney General's office & the governors office concerning this scam of a company. I'm very disappointed. UPDATE 02/22/24. Progressive, my insurance ultimately paid to repair my vehicle. I filed a complaint against this company with the Texas department of insurance who closed my complaint with a letter stating that Home state county had accepted liability & was only waiting for a subrogation demand from Progressive to pay the claim back. This company never paid & Progressive ate the loss & closed the case. Home State County is a terrible company...FINAL UPDATE.. I 2/23/24, I JUST got an email from Progressive that Home State county did in fact pay for the claim & that I'll be reimbursed for my deductible..so yes Home State County actually does eventually pay out claims. I'm increasing the stars to 3 from 1, but if Progressive hadn't paid for this claim 5 days after I filed on my comprehensive back in early December I would have just not had my vehicle for the 3 months it took Home state county to pay. You're more than likely in for a long ride if you're trying to get Home state county to pay your claim...good luck & file your complaints online to the Texas department of insurance."

"One of their shady insured rear ended our car on 10/4/2023. Their insured offered in writing to pay for the damage. On 2/5/2024 I learned from my insurance provider, Progressive, the case against the driver had been turned over to a collection agency because HSCMI had refused to participate in arbitration or honor the claim. I was advised to file a complaint against HSCMI with the Texas Department of Insurance on the TDI website."

"Please Just hired an attorney against them, because if you try to settle with them outside the courts, they will denied your claims even when the police report indicated that their insurer was at fault. The adjuster who wasn’t at the scene fabricates make believe tales and fraudulent accusations against the actual victim. Please report the to the Texas Department of Insurance and Office of the attorney general consumer division, they do not practice on good faith!! Their insurer Fail to Yield on a right way while making a Left turn!! Cutting us off!"
