"Unfortunately, I was NOT satisfied with any part of my bridesmaid hair or make up experience. First off, Emilio was late, unapologetic, and threw a fit about a bracelet he lost when opening up the store. Not even once acknowledging the fact we'd waited 20 minutes for him. He had 4 of us go in at the same time (10:00a.m.), only to make us wait individually until the next person was done. He had ONE assistant helping with hair, only. It took so long we missed the opportunity to help the bride into her dress. Two of us were late to the church. He knew we were on a time crunch and continued mocking us about being ready on time. After being sprayed down with a can of hair spray and set in rollers, I waited my turn for make up. During that time I witnessed him threaten to slap the maid of honor for looking at the bride while he was trying to do her make-up. There are better approaches to redirect someone to look a certain direction. Once he was finshed the maid of honor, he called me up. He had a VERY heavy hand. He was unsanitary. Rather than tapping the excess shadow of the brushes, he continuously blew on the brushes before application. The brushes were moist and it was uncomfortable. His other application brushes/sponges were also full of old make-up and not clean. The pencil liner application on my waterline felt like I was being jabbed in the eye causing them to redden and water. I am an experienced make-up user and this has not ever been a problem for me. Lastly, his idea of contouring was to spread bright pink and RED near my hair line, cheek bones, below cheek bones, jaw line, nose, cupid's bow, and chin! THAT was my WHOLE face!!!! I looked like Twisted Sister. I communicated my concern and he just just giggled and told me,"That's what we call contour. But I can blend it some more for you...If you want." Me," YES, PLEASE!" Next was my hair... Mind you my appt was with Emilio... The amazing artist...Well his sweet lady assistant ended up completing my hair. Making three distinct sections. Teasing a large uneven puff at my crown , twisting one side and trying to braid the other. The three sections were so distinct you could see my scalp. After that she began making tight twists (even though the photo reference was loose soft curls) She was half way through before I inquired about blending the hair to avoid seeing my scalp through my hair do. I have thick long hair with plenty to avoid seeing the parts in my hair. So thin hair was not an excuse. I ended just asking to fix the braid my self the salvage what I could of the hair do... I was miserable with amount of hair spray the lady used, bobby pins poked into my scalp, and the tearing and breaking of my hair. I was so anxious the finish. It was 3:15 and I was supposed to be at the brides house at 2:30 to get dressed and help her in her dress. Like mentioned before I missed that since he decided to take his time. If the assistant was going to do my hair I didn't understand why he made me wait for him to complete two peoples hair AND make-up before letting her start on me. Finally, 3:30 I'm checking out and ready to pay the quoted $160. Well, it was $180+$25 additional charge for inexpensive eyelashes. He did not ask me if I even wanted them in the first place which I thought was odd since it's usually indicated before application that there's an add on fee. My assumption was they must have been included in the price which is why I didn't pull out the lashes I brought with me. MY MISTAKE... So the grand total of the under delivered services was $206 and some change. I expressed that I was quoted a different price upon booking the appointmeent and was not asked about the lashes. He did not care. The place was cluttered dusty and unkept. I would not recommend Emilio. He was late, rude, unsanitary, and overpriced. RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!!"
