The Crab Station - The Colony

"Had a strong crab craving at work on 3-1-24 so me and the fam did family night here last night. Calamari was very tender and delicious. Ordered the Atlantic with extra King Crabs (I love King Crab over Snow Crab) and extra shrimp with the head on. Thing I loved the most was that it wasn’t overly packed, walked straight in, no wait. We had so much food we ended up having to take some home. Tasted even better this morning. All in all, great food and will be back. If you love Calamari, this is the place."

"I loved how well seasoned were all the items we ordered. The fried items were crispy with a thin layer of breading and super juicy inside. We also ordered boiled blue crabs, clams, shrimps and crawfish. The original sauce was on point and the shrimp and crawfish were very good. Maybe the crabs and clams weren’t in season because they didn’t have much meat or tamale. The service was excellent, specially the hostess for dinner time on Jan 12, 2024. Our waiter checked on us the right amount of time and kept our glasses filled. The service justified the auto-added gratuity of 20%. Portions and total price for the meal was very fair. I feel like more restaurants need to take it further and calculate the labor cost into the price of the food and any gratuity be extra and optional. As in this case, including the service cost upfront didn’t compromise on the quality of the service."

"The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is very casual and the prices are a bit strong.. but if you're in the mood for good 'ol peel and eat with massive shrimp, whole crawfish, and juicy crab legs, you can't go wrong here."

"The seafood bag was delicious. I’ve been too many boil in bag spots, but this was by far my favorite. The cooked oysters were seasoned to perfection. I enjoyed my happy hour mango margaritas."

"When I came in the service was good and the staff was very kind. Unfortunately, I came in to order my two boys some sandwiches and looked online at pricing. I cannot stress enough to F&B businesses that daily updates on food pricing and happy hours is super important. This is how you encourage customers to come back. Everyone is online and in tune with this. It is worth it to have an administrative promoter and social media manager and website tech to make sure what you post is accurate."
