Reviews of Great Clips
"Really Nice , I went to hair cut for my son we are really happy with the hair cut very professional."
"I recently had a haircut, and my experience left me quite dissatisfied. After my haircut, I was told to leave with wet hair, which was unexpected. When I requested the hairstylist to dry my hair, she kindly obliged. However, an elderly lady (who probably is the manager) approached us and insisted that they could only partially dry my hair, suggesting I go outside to finish drying it in the sun. What baffled me was the fact that apparently, if you want your wet hair to be fully dried after a haircut, you have to pay EXTRA. Is this the new norm? Getting a haircut and walking out with wet hair unless you're willing to shell out more money for a basic service? This experience was not only inconvenient but also felt like an attempt to upsell services that should be part of the standard haircut experience."
"I took my kids twice and both times i had a bad experience with the stylists. They always try to rush and just want to finish with the machine ASAP. Can't we do this at home if it is just shave it? Please be mindful about this and work nicely."
"Went here yesterday (8/22) at around 5:40 pm and I experienced racism from the hair dresser Susan who works there. The other hair dresser (also an elderly woman) who actually cut my hair did not do a good job and I had to go to SportsClip which was open in my area to correct it. Detailed incident: I had checked in online and after I visited, Susan (the hair dresser) called out my name and I said yes. I could see that I was on the first spot but she deliberately without saying anything to me asked for a white lady who was on number 3 spot (I am brown and the number 2 was not there). When I asked her why she did that, she did not reply at all and went to the other hairdresser to ask her to cut my hair. Then, while the other hairdresser was cutting my hair, she could not fade the hair properly on both sides, and the line on the neck was not straight. But atleast she was trying. In the end, I asked Susan who was there to check if the line is straight (because it looked different to me in the mirror, which was confirmed by the hairdresser at Sportsclips later). Without even looking at it, she said that the elderly lady cutting my hair was an excellent hairdresser and had repeat clients. At this point, I was bothered by her racist attitude and asked her name. I asked my hair dresser to stop the haircut and while I was getting ready to head out, Susan asked me if I was going to log a complaint to the corporate, to which I replied “Let me see what I can do”. She engaged with me again and asked my name to which I said “No”. At this point she says that she did not like my attitude and I replied back and said it was the same for her. When I asked her why she choose the other lady in the start she said because she was waiting to which I said “it doesn’t matter if someone was waiting, if I am on first spot you have to pick me unless I say otherwise”. I mean I get the concern but she could have asked me in a nicer way that the other lady had been waiting and if I was okay to let her go first. Instead, she just choose her without my consent and rolled her eyes without replying. At this point she told me she is going to talk to her manager and I could see she was talking to her. When I asked her if I can talk to the manager, she said “No”. I finally stepped out of the store and went to Sportsclips for correction."
"Compared with other locations and similarly tiered competitors, I think this is one of the better ones. Note that I went here growing up, so I am bias. Registering to be on the waitlist online is huge for Great Clips, although sometimes it is inaccurate depending on how long each cut takes, so be prepared for an extra 30-45 min wait in the shop if it's busy. Dan has almost always cut my hair, and I've been more than satisfied. If you really care about your haircut, don't just describe what you want -- bring a picture (front/side/back views) of yourself or someone else with that cut. Then decide whether you want someone else to cut your hair."
