"I loved my haircut done by Zeke! He really listened to what I wanted and cut my hair to my liking. We discussed on various styles based on pictures and my face shape, he really helped me find the best fit for me! It has been the best haircut I’ve had and I look forward to going to him for my future haircuts! Hair wash and blow dry was also amazing, with a complimentary hand massage! It really felt like a spa day. Thank you Zeke!"
"Zeke is fabulous. Do not EVER go to Arooshi/Aroosha. Zeke is a wonderful conversationalist (with wonderful stories and recommendations for things to do in Austin). He'll give you the best scalp massage pre-cut. He always knows how to execute exactly the look you want for an extremely affordable price and give you great recommendations to maintain it. Ever since I got my balayage redone with Aroosha, my hair has been INSANELY damaged. Firstly, she said a "partial highlight" could not just be retouching my roots, but that it could only be about 1/4 of my entire head all the way down (despite everything but my roots having already been bleached to highlight and her knowing this). She insisted that a full highlight was the only way I could have my hair "event ready". So, I booked that service. Immediately following her bleach treatment, pieces of my hair started coming out in gummy strands. At first it wasn't that noticeable, but overtime, it got worse. I went to another salon in my hometown ASAP to see what could be done to help it. By that time, my hair was SO DRY from the bleach that I had to deep condition it every night just to pull a brush through it. At another salon to try to fix my hair, it took TWO people to drag a brush through it after a protein treatment just to get it to a cut-able straight state. I ended up chopping off about 8" of length to start a healing post-bleach regime after getting my hair bleached here after following Ruiz Salon's bleaching advice. This salon is the reason I've stopped bleaching my hair completely, because I have NEVER had this problem at any other salon despite 2.5 years of highlights. Come here for cuts. Never for color."
"The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing at this disorganized salon where every single service is divided up between a different service provider. I have now been to this salon four times in one week just to get the normal package you’d get in one sitting at any other salon: a full highlight and haircut. I’ve also now paid twice as much as I would have paid if their schedulers could have gotten it right the first (or second, or third) time. What’s even more insane is that on my second trip to complete the highlight job that they didn’t have time to compete the first time (despite the scheduler telling me they would), the girl washing my hair nearly accidentally doused it in toner until I caught her, stopped her, and had her get the main stylist, who confirmed the toner was not for me—it was for another client (to be fair, a girl with apparently my same name, but my god still…). And because there’s no continuity, they used the wrong deep conditioner on me, which I didn’t catch until I was checking out. Basically, it kinda reminds me a lot of those mall salons from the 90s (like Toni and Guy), where the hairstylists aren’t invested at all in their individual clients—it’s just kind of all a factory. ON THE OTHER HAND, Dalton and Katrina and Greg all do fabulous highlights, so I don’t know what to say. My ultimate conclusion is that this is a salon for the rich without real jobs or anywhere else to be in life. Annoyingly, I’ll probably (begrudgingly) go back for the highlights only bc it’s a pain to find a new place, but will def make sure to schedule a full day of vacation in advance…"
"Believe me when I say that I got the best haircut of my life today; Abby is AMAZING!!! The booking process is unique, and sets the expectation that you’re getting a much different experience from most salons. I was not disappointed! The salon is gorgeous, the shampoo experience was relaxing and Abby really listened to my preferences before starting my cut. I look forward to booking another appointment!"
"I had an amazing experience here! The staff is wonderful and kind. It feels like you are getting pampered. Sam did a great job and did exactly what I asked for!"
