"1st experience in May 2023. Service, nail techs and owners were awesome. I became a regular and brought others to get the VIP Treatment. I liked the ease of booking online. My preferred nail tech Zoe became less available and I was introduced to Mimi (endorsed by Zoe) and I was very pleased with the results. I an experienced issues with online booking showing no availability for any of techs for any service in August and I called and advised the owner. The owner confirmed techs were available and booked my appointment. When I arrived, he asked me to show him what I experienced…I did and he said he would look into it. I experienced the online booking issue again in October, so I called the salon to ask if my preferred techs were available. He advised that my #1 is out til the end of the year and that my #2 would not be in for several days. He appeared to be agitated when I stated that I would rather wait til one of my preferred techs were available. The owner’s tone changed as he appeared to be more agitated as he said that he did not understand why I would wait and that anyone can do my nails. I advised that it was my preference and that I did not appreciate his tone. I reminded him of my experiences, my preferences and why. However, I did not deserve to be talk to in that tone or manner (it was not VIP treatment) and asked if I should find another nail salon. On my way to new experiences! Overall, great place if you don’t have preferences!"
"I loved the polite and professional technicians that did the work! Wish I made a point to find out their names! However, I was not impressed by the manager/owner and receptionist. If I am asked what I want, I do not want to be influenced or encouraged to go with a different service from what I requested. It has nothing to do with price, it’s based on personal preferences and lifestyle. My requests had to be discussed with the owner/manager AND reviewed with me AGAIN before I could even be seated in a chair, which seemed unnecessary if the services I requested are available. I felt that I had to give reasons for why I didn’t want the services they were offering me. I wasn’t offered a receipt and I felt rushed away, as if I did created an issue or problem. However the person before me had a different encounter from what I witnessed. I also presume that one of the nail techs provided a more in depth service than what I requested and was being told to stop. From a business standpoint, I understand. But professionalism and etiquette to the customers that keep your business open, the approach came across very poorly. This experience was irritating and caught me off guard. I hardly had much sleep after my work shift and just did not have the energy to address it at the time of my service. But felt that it needed to be addressed. Based on the responses from the owner, they will either lack accountability or refute what I have said, which doesn’t affect me. Just taking the opportunity that I do have to share my last experience at this salon."
"***Try Amazing Nail Bar off of Cooper St in Arlington for a great experience not this place*** Yesterday my mother-in-law and I went to get pedicures at this nail salon. I've been to this location several times before. The last couple of times they have been rude and yesterday was no exception. The only reason we went Daiza and not another salon was because we were pressed for time. The customer service was terrible. The lady manager at the front was not friendly and she didn't like the fact that we didn't get the pedicure that she wanted us to get (which did cost more). The nail technician that did my mother in law's pedicure was making faces as she was trimming/cutting her toenails. I've never seen any nail tech do that before which was RUDE and unprofessional. Also, we were not offered anything to drink, not even water. I guess they want you to spend a certain amount of money in order to be treated right and provided good customer service. The only positive out of this visit was nail tech who did my nails was nice and professional. I will not go back there or recommend this place to anyone."
"I’ve been a customer for a while I have been patient with mistakes. Sometimes the nails don’t look the shape I asked for or look crooked but I’ve let it go because is convenient or sometimes they’ve fixed it. They itemize every thing which can make it costly but I didn’t mind as far as it’s similar to what I asked for. This last time they charged me $100 for which I showed the tech a picture of the Hailey Bieber glazed donut set. At the end the nails looked like glittery cheap press-on nails. I had chosen a lighter chrome color but the tech recommended a different pink color which i had specifically said no to but in the end was used. I attached a picture of it and other pictures of their work for anyone to make their own judgement. That day I left disappointed but to make matters worse the nails started peeling so I went back 4 days later to fix them. I asked if the nails could be made with the lighter chrome I had originally wanted to which I was told would be $30 because if I changed color they’d have to fix all of the nails instead of just one. To which I let the male receptionist know all the nails had peeled so regardless they’d all had to be worked on not just one. He walked off and I was surprised at the unprofessional behavior because he told me to pick my color because then I’d be “blaming them”. I told him it wasn’t about “blaming anyone”. I thought they’d be more flexible since the nails had peeled off a day after they were done and I was asking for the chrome again just a different color but it was same work no extra shape/material/labor . I ended up opting for gel since it would be $30 regardless and $130 later I did not get the original nails I asked for. Make your own judgments or see for yourself."
"Yesterday I went to Daiza Nail Lounge. I arrived at 4:25 and realized that they close at 5. I went inside and asked the man at the check in counter would they be able to do a pedicure and full set. He told me they would not have time and offered to schedule me an appointment for the following day. I explained I would not have the time, would have to go somewhere else and thanked him and left. When I made it to my car, the man came to my car and told me that a tech was wrapping up and they would have time to get me after all. I asked if he was sure and told him that I didn't mind going somewhere else. He again reassured me that they would have time. I told him these nails are for my birthday and I really didn't want them rushed. He again assured me that they would take care me. I went inside, picked a color and was sat in a pedicure bowl. The lady who was doing my pedicure began really rough around my cuticles. I had to pull my foot away multiple times due to the pain. The tech assigned to my nails was very friendly but he was rushing through the process and applying the dip powder extremely sloppily. When I pointed out holes in the application he ignored me and said it was okay. I explained to him that the nails were for my birthday and asked him to please fix it. He went over 3 nails again with top coat but ultimately left my nails dented, uneven, and misshapen. He eventually left without completing his 'fixes'. When the original man came by and asked how was everything, I was honest and explained I was not happy with the service and this is why I didn't want to come inside and be rushed out. He had a third tech come over and she noticed the poor quality of work. She went over 2 of the nails but left all the others untouched. When I went to check out I was very surprised to find out I was being charged the full price for nails that were poorly done. When I asked if anything could be done, the man sighed and said he would give me 10% off while cutting me off trying to show him the issues that still exist with the set. The price dropped from $108 to $96. When I was checking out (card in the reader) he cancelled the transaction and told me he would give me $6 off of my polish. I ultimately paid $102 for a terrible experience. This was my first and last time visiting."
