"My wife has been a stylist for 14 years, her and my daughter just moved here with me and were on the hunt for a good salon. They found Norma at The Beauty Bar and that’s all they have been talking about is how awesome she was! Definitely recommend this place. They were all super welcoming and my girls had a great time! My daughters hair came out exactly like the picture she wanted. 10/10"
"Would absolutely not recommend. The “owner” Viviana has THE WORST customer service and is absolutely snotty to say the least. Example I was sitting in the seating area waiting and she walks in, looks at me as if I’m some sort of peasant, and I being an adult and a business owner myself, still told her Hello she then proceeds to completely ignore me and just looks at me again and walks away still never acknowledging any of her customers! Then, it was my turn to get my hair done by the sweetest person there (I will not be using her name because I understand now how this Viviana girl is) and I ask her who the rude wanna be young teenager is, she then tells me she’s the owner named Viviana and that she’s always rude to all the customers that aren’t her family or friends in which I’m honestly surprised she has any friends with that attitude, but what made me angry was that this young lady also told me that she treats her employees poorly as well, which honestly explains why she can never really keep anyone. As an owner you’d think she’d care about her customers and employees because after all if it wasn’t for them she wouldn’t even have a business!…..but seems like she could care less, which is honestly why I will continue to stay away (especially since the young lady that does my hair will be leaving as well). On top of that the aesthetic is absolutely horrible and all over the place doesn’t even make sense to be honest it’s just not welcoming. She just tries so hard to be like other amazing salon artists that actually know what they are doing, and it’s just making her look even more pathetic."
"Booked online for Wednesday at 10:30am with Bre on Sunday night to do a color touch up on a pink underlay she did about 3 months ago(she was late to that appointment and only gave about a 30 min notice). On Monday morning at 10am I texted asking about a price estimate for the service since it didn’t say online, I sent photos and gave all the info, she responded around 6 hours later with a follow up question, I answered within a minute and then didn’t hear back(people are busy I get that, but there is a 24hr cancellation policy so I needed to make sure the pricing was in my budget before 10:30am Tue ). I messaged again at about 9:30pm asking about pricing, no response. I wait until about 9:15am this morning(Tue) and said to cancel my appointment. Within 10 minutes she responded this “ I’m so sorry I was moving everything out of my apartment all day yesterday so I did not have time to catch up on my messages or anything like that. But The starting price would have been $110 and varied on how much product I use. But that’s fine, a cancellation fee will be charged to the card on file. My cancellation policies are on my booking app and instagram” Unfortunately I had to remind her about her own policies, as I was within the 24 hour period and had been trying to get the info from her since Monday morning. Very unprofessional, I get things can happen but if she would have communicated that she was busy during the initial message she sent, thrown out the estimate of pricing after I sent the photos I would have came in, she’d of got paid and a tip but instead I had to now find a new stylist last minute. Super not cool."
"Very Discouraging - I booked an appointment online with Bre for 1:00 today (07/22/23) and ended up sitting there for 30 minutes before being told she still had to put toner on the girl in front of her. I had booked another appointment elsewhere for a different service for 2:30 because I thought by booking a 1:00 appointment I’d be in the chair in 10-15 minutes. Nope, 30 minutes and she still had to tone, wash, and style the girl in the front of her. Very poor time management."
