Reviews of Clark’s Oyster Bar - Houston
"It's definitely the best high-end place I have been for oysters in Houston. I liked LIberty kitchen a lot as well, but there is a little bit bigger selection. Each oyster is $4. The staff is attentive, and when you get your order m, they will come tell you which oyster are which. I learned a lot about oysters from the waitstaff. I really enjoyed the Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island oysters, the Texas oysters were tasty as well. Got the awesome scallops, you can choose two sauces to dip them in. My spouse got the lobster roll, it was cold, not hot, but delicious. I would not suggest to get the first, skinny matchsticks, get the slaw instead. 9/10 yum. We took a loaf of bread home for $12. They make it fresh in house."
"Great spot with good happy hour specials on burgers and oysters. Cool vibe inside and a great patio area. The service was good and fast. The crab Mac and cheese was awesome along with the crudo appetizer. Sourdough bread is a great starter while you enjoy a beverage. However, I wouldn't recommend soft drinks as they charge $4 per glass which was mostly ice. For that price they should give free refills or at least make it clear they charge per glass so you don't get shocked and annoyed when the bill arrives. Free valet parking available."
"Wanted to try out a new place for dinner and decided to go to Clark’s . We order the Spanish octopus, $39 lobster roll and the linguine clams. Everything we had was ok. Not great but also not bad. The lobster roll was what we were excited to try out but it was a lot of breading and mayo with not enough lobsters. May come back to try other stuff in the future."
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Clark's Houston and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening. To begin our culinary journey, we opted for the East Coast oysters and Siberian sturgeon caviar. The oysters were simply divine, boasting a light and briny flavor that left us craving for more. And let's not forget about the caviar - a true delicacy that never disappoints. It added an extra touch of elegance to our lunch and left our taste buds dancing with joy. Next up, we indulged in the clams and mussels. The dish was a true seafood lover's dream, with an abundance of clams immersed in a wonderful brine. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the accompanying grilled sourdough bread was a delightful addition. It was a combination that left us absolutely satisfied and yearning for another visit. For the main course, my spouse opted for the lobster roll with a side of fries. Let me tell you, it was pure bliss. The lobster was served warm and the meat was incredibly tender. The accompanying dipping sauce added an extra layer of flavor that elevated the dish to new heights. The side of fries was the perfect complement, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Throughout our dining experience, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. They made us feel welcome and ensured that every aspect of our visit was met with the utmost care and attention. The atmosphere at Clark's Houston is truly something to behold. The cozy ambiance, coupled with tasteful decor, creates a welcoming and stylish environment that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a special milestone or simply enjoying a casual lunch, this restaurant provides the ideal setting. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Clark's Houston enough. The exquisite seafood, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere make it a five-star establishment in my book. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience that will leave you craving for more, look no further. Clark's Houston is the place to be."
