"FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for Nando’s since moving from the UK. We’re in Texas for a little while and definitely had to stop by to see if it was the same and we were not disappointed! From the lovely and beautiful decor to the music and of course the delicious food! We ordered a 1/2 chicken with chips and garlic bread and the chicken sandwich with rice and chips as well. Everything was so so good! Took us back home basically and I’m sure we’ll be stopping by before we head back to Miami. We even ordered some to go right after we finished out dinner and took it back to the hotel The only thing that needs to be noted is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. They were pretty dirty, they’re beautiful but definitely needed to be cleaned Otherwise everything was perfect and we hope they bring Nando’s to Florida soon!"
"Hello my fellow Foodies. Bringing you another hidden gem located in the heart of Houston… (Several More Locations Coming Soon) Nandos’s Peri Peri Chicken. This is more than just grilled chicken. Nando’s not only marinated the chicken for 24 hours, but it’s infused with their delicious secret ingredients. To top it off, the flavor in Peri Peri sauce satisfies all taste bud senses: sweet, salty, tangy and tailoring it with whatever amount of heat you like. The other side dishes on the menu pair perfectly with this amazing chicken, which by the way you can get 1/4, 1/2, or full sizes. This was by far the best dish of Brussel Sprouts I have tasted. And Let’s not even get started on the French Fries… OUTSTANDING!!! To complement this wonderful array of flavor, the friendly customer service,by entire staff, is beyond compare. My wife has been telling about this place when she lived in London that she frequented on a weekly basis. She said I had to try. I was thinking, “oh yea, ok, Not yet another Chicken Place”. Boy was I wrong. We visited the location in the Galleria and after the first bite I was in love"
"Tonight we decided we were going to try Nando’s. We’ve been waiting to go since before they opened. We were waiting to get the kinks worked out and hype to die down. We were sadly disappointed. We attempted to order online at our table however not all menu items were available online. I went and ordered at the cashier. When I returned to our table we realized she had imputed chicken thigh instead of breast so I went back up to have it corrected. Then it still came out as a chicken thigh. When corrected with the chicken breast it had the wrong sauce even though she came back to verify. A manager looking person advised us they were out of Mac and cheese and wanted us to order more sides. In which we requested a refund as we already had 4 sides. As for the food the chicken was cooked to temperature. The variety of sauces was a nice compliment. For sides we had cauliflower which we felt was over sauced, Kale Ceaser salad was a couple days old, coleslaw was served warm (we didn’t eat it due to fear of temperature control) and mushy peas which was the best side of the night. I’m not sure what was going on with the staff. I think there were about 3 managers working who seemed disinterested. The staff vibe was that they were ready to close up even though we were there at 8pm (they close at 10pm). Sauces were being wrapped up and water glasses were being provided as requested in minimal quantities. There is definitely potential here but they need to work on their staffing. The chicken has a strong game but not enough to keep the place afloat. I hope this was a fluke and that they will be successful as it has the potential to be a nice addition to uptown."
"My friend told me to come with her for lunch, she said she liked it and that it was very good. The place is beautiful, clean, new and roomy. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. You order and pay through a QR code which is awesome. We ordered and our drinks came out fast and the food was crazy fast as well. I got the extra spicy wings and unfortunately the spice was not spicing so that was a let down but the flavors were delicious and the food tasted very fresh. I definitely want to be back to try other things but y'all got to work on the extra spicy one lol."
"Took 30 minutes for us to be seated even though we were told there’s a 15-20 min wait. That wouldn’t have been a problem had we not seen a couple tables being actively ignored for 10 minutes by waitstaff. They would walk right by without batting an eye. Eventually the hostess noticed and cleaned our table herself. The way this restaurant works is very stupid. You’re seated by the hostess, order on your phone/at the counter, pay, and the waitstaff brings the food out when it’s ready. Speaking of waitstaff, all the other reviewers are correct. This place has way too many waiters and most of them do pretty much nothing besides look around and just stand there. We ordered the 6 piece shareable wings, a whole chicken with 2 sides, and 2 drinks. The total came out to $50, whis is absurd for a whole chicken and 6 wings, but we wanted to see what the hype was about. We ordered the chicken at level hot, and since we like eating spicy food it wasn’t too spicy for us. However, the chicken didn’t have any other flavor besides the heat. The skin was rubbery and the chicken itself had a terribly gamey smell. So terrible that my husband asked for a manager. She was very nice and offered us a new one, but unfortunately it was the same as the first one so we just left it and walked out."
