Reviews of Naqs Halal Food
"I got mix over rice, I took a few bits and it was smelling bad. I told the cashier about it and he said the rice is two days old. He put me on the phone with owner and he said best he can do is give me discount on the gyro. Why would I buy the same gyro again, it smells. He explained to me that the rice was in a steamer for 2 days. I just left the spot. I don’t want refund or anything but this was the worst gyro and customer experience I had."
"I never had halal food and i think this was pretty good ! This rice or wtv was amazing 10 out of then I could my self to the emergency room best food i had in a long time"
"During a late night ride I came across this place. It was nearly midnight, so finding out they closed at 2AM was surely great for us. I grew up eating gyros in my hometown so once we was giving a sample of the lamb me to try I instantly felt like I was back home. I decided of the Lamb Over Rice (11.45$) as my husband got the 1/4 Burger& fries (8.99$) which was freashly made to perfection. Diamond and Prince both made our experience top tier, they were extremely a pleasure. We got two servings of cake for 4.95$ a slice, one being Baklava which was my least favorite, but the carrot cake surely made up for the disappointment. We will for sure be repeat customers when on this side of town! It's always great to support the small black owned businesses whenever possible especially when the service and products are worth it!"
"I recently visited this restaurant with a couple of friends on a Wednesday night, hoping to enjoy a pleasant meal and good company. However, the overall experience left much to be desired. Here's a rundown of what happened: Understaffed and Unprepared: Upon arrival at around 10:30 pm, we noticed only one guy handling both the cash register and meal preparation. This immediately set the tone for what was to come. Combo Option Chaos: Two of us ordered burgers and wanted to add a combo (fries and drink) as advertised on the menu. Unfortunately, the cashier claimed to be new and couldn't find the combo option on the cash register, resulting in separate charges for the fries and drink. We reluctantly agreed, considering the new employee's inexperience. "Grilled Chicken is the new Zinger?": One of my friends ordered the zinger burger, but what arrived was a grilled chicken patty instead of the crispy zinger. Despite pointing out the mistake, the staff seemed adamant that this is how they made their Zinger, in accordance with the owner's directives. Cheeseless Cheeseburger (photos attached): I ordered the double cheeseburger, but to my dismay, it had no cheese! Again, the cashier insisted that that's how they make cheeseburgers, ignoring the menu display screen clearly showing a cheese-topped burger. It was baffling and frustrating (the name of the burger has the word cheese in it!). Owner MIA: When I requested to speak to the owner or a manager about the ongoing issues, the cashier claimed to have no contact information for the owner. This lack of accountability added to the already disappointing experience. Final Thoughts: The Chicken Wings we ordered on the side were perhaps the only positive of the night. While I don't typically write reviews, this experience compelled me to share my thoughts. The restaurant's lack of proper management, inexperienced staff, and inability to fulfill basic orders make it hard for me to recommend or consider returning."
