Silver Fox Steakhouse

"It was wife's birthday and she had never been. It's been over 20 years for me so I decided to take her. The reservation process, simple. The ambience, relaxing, dark and cozy. The service was wonderful, we were tended to with a smile and preifessionalism. We started with drinks of course. My wife requested her own concoction, Disaronno sour, she loved it and ordered another. I had a Manhattan. That drink was stiff, I couldn't finish it. We started with a crab cake. The flavor wa good but it seems like it was just plopped on the plate. Didn't have much crust to form like you would expect, more like a mashed potato cake. Like I said it tasted good but there was no crisp to the form. Next we had our salad. We both ordered the 3 Fork Salad. Honestly, for me, that was the highlight of the meal. Man it's so good. Kudos to that! Wife ordered a sirloin steak with lobster tail over 3 asparagus spears. She said it was very flavorful but don't be so skimpy on the vegetable. It had a side of fully loaded mashed potatoes, very good. I ordered a bone-in steak(don't remember what kind) that came over mashed potato. Good flavor but... Kinda small. We also ordered a side of Makers Mark flamed mushrooms. Tasty. For dessert we had creme brulee. Honestly, not impressed, definitely had better. All in all, we enjoyed our food, nothing was bad but I probably won't comeback for the prices. Good food? Yes. Good value... Not even close. I didn't mind because it was my wife's birthday and she deserves it but even she said it wa good but not worth the money. Again, for a special occasion or just for the experience it is OK but she is just as happy going to a local Steakhouse chain."

"We visited Silver Fox last night. It has been years since we have been there. The wife and I sat at the bar to have dinner and we enjoyed it as much as we did in the past. Ken was our server and bar tenter and he was awesome. He shared fun stories and what we should do in town for our visit. The food was spot on."

"Second time here and it was amazing. The service and food were top notch. Even got to see a little magic show at the table, the kids thought it was the coolest thing and I was probably more impressed. We’ll definitely be back."

"Visited 12/29/23 for the first time. Occasion was a birthday and it was definitely an excellent choice. At check in, there was a line and I did have reservations and wanted to make sure we checked in on time. When I go to the front, the hostess never acknowledged me, until I said excuse me, we have a reservation. She wasn’t the nicest or most helpful, but we were escorted to our seat. Reservation had birthday (surprise) notes and this was related to the waiter. Now, our waiter Rogelio, was incredible. From start to finish, he was outstanding. Helpful, informative, and my boyfriend was impressed and happy with his service. Rogelio went above and beyond to ensure things were well Cocktails - blackberry smash (made to perfection) and the Tito’s Martini was on point Appetizer - beef croustade Main - Surf & turf (chef’s special) and baseball cut filet (Oscar’s way). Dessert - Texas Pecan cake Food was wonderful! Asparagus was meh - was not a flavorful as we’d hoped but still good. One of our steaks wasn’t cooked correctly and THANK GOODNESS Rogelio noticed and asked to have it sent back to the kitchen and fixed. We didn’t want to complain over it but it was medium rare and we’d ordered medium well. It was returned by the chef, replated, and cooked as requested. Now..:the cake. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! We devoured the entire slice and there were no regrets. If anything, GET THE DESSERT! Great dinner and excellent experience."
