"I loved loved loved Dr Watts and he was the best dentist in Austin for children. He was loving, kind and gentle and accepted all children regardless of funding. After he retired we were told that my son had to get special permission because he had Medicaid. My son went several months with cavities as this office came up with excuse after excuse not to see him. Dr Watts would have never let this happen. Dr Watts’ heart was big enough to see everyone regardless of their pocketbook. Dentists shouldn’t be allowed to cherry-pick when you’re talking about children’s teeth but they do and this one does. My child had one tooth filled here and vomited because he had too much nitrous given to him. This also I don’t believe would have happened with Dr Watts. So if you have lots of money and trust new dentists then go here just know you aren’t seeing Dr Watts like their answering machine STILL says. Update: I spoke with Ms Enriquez the business manager and she actually made this right. In their defense they had staffing issues after Dr Watts retired and that is understandable. Staff also had maternity leave and that’s the life cycle. Ms Enriquez actually thanked me for my poor review because it allowed her to see my issues. I made an appointment for my kiddo for his next cleaning so they fixed their patient dump scenario. I’m leaving my poor review along with this update so people can see how this office really does do the right thing. I wish we lived in a world where everyone took Medicaid but that’s me dreaming. Thank you Ms Enriquez for accepting my child back."
