Reviews of Emergency Dentist of Austin
"Everyone here is great! The doctor and their assistants are incredibly nice and looks after your teeth. Please come see them if you feel the need!"
"The dental work itself was fantastic. However I was "purposefully overcharged" as we were originally unsure if I would need just a crown or a root canal but it was likely I needed a root canal. They assured me if I ended up with a crown only it would be easy and quick to refund me and they would do that before billing my insurance. I trusted the advice and swiped my card because of course I needed the work done. Well I ended up only needing a crown, and I appreciate the dentist on staff being honest about that and trying to save me some money. However I have been calling and emailing since NOVEMBER and have still not received a refund for the difference and because of that I haven't been able to bill my insurance either since its not been corrected! I'm not even sure I still CAN bill my insurance. All payment is required upfront so I have just been throwing money at credit card payments for this $4000 overcharge for months. Everyone I have talked to have been friendly and apologetic and I really hate to leave bad reviews for anything or feel like a Karen but I don't know what else to do. I don't care how sorry you are, this is seriously unacceptable. Something that should have cost next to nothing because my insurance would cover is costing me $4000 because they can't figure out how to refund me or don't want to. Would never recommend this place to anyone it will make you bankrupt."
"I’ll start off with the good. I was so grateful to find a facility that was opened on a weekend. My overall feeling is that it served its purpose. No bells or whistles. My issue was the lack of sanitation. I told the RDA that the dental table was dirty. She proceeded to clean it and then she used the same gloves to enter my mouth after cleaning. The added picture is w/o the table being touched."
"They were very prompt in returning by my call and getting me scheduled and were so very nice which is always a great first impression. They checked with the dentist before I came in to make sure they were familiar with the particular issue I had going on and confirmed they were. I was having pretty excruciating pain when I walked in there, and unfortunately left with the same pain. The dentist was very friendly and familiar with the potential condition I had going on but just did X-rays and discussed seeing an orthodontist for more 3D X-rays. I think it’s a good plan, but he never did an exam or even opened my mouth to look to see if gums were inflamed or to look at the sensitive tooth. I went in to an emergency dentist because I needed some pain relief. I’m back home and this flare is bringing me to tears. He just told me to continue the ibuprofen and Tylenol I’m using that I said wasn’t touching it. I was hoping they could just at least give me a shot to numb the current pain to get some temporary relief. Or send me with a lidocaine viscous rinse to use to numb the area. When I called ahead to see if they were familiar with the condition I’m suspecting, i assumed that meant they might actually be able to help me. But I’m back home and in tears right now."
"First visit was great! I liked the hours available to come in, for me I needed something in the evening and they had availability the same day if needed/wanted, at the time I booked. I chose to tough it out a few days before coming in. The staff was friendly! They walked me through all that was going on, answered my questions and were patient. Payment was explained easily. I was happy there was payment option! They gave me time to run my numbers on which plan I was most comfortable with. This may sound silly but I didn't realize I would get my issue dealt with same day. I now walked out with excitement to not have my pain no more! Thank you all!"
