"Genuinely the WORST salon I've ever been to. Here's what happened: 1. Made an appointment with a woman named Amy, but the person who ended up doing my nails was a young guy who could not even understand me at all. Didn't even care to ask me what color I wanted before going in on my nails. 2. Ladies, STOP LETTING NAIL SALONS GRIND YOUR GEL POLISH OFF. The grinder is so bad for your nail beds! My tech did not once use acetone to soak my gel nails, he went straight for two different grinders. At this point I started to freak out a bit inside because I did not want my gel removed this way and my tech couldn't understand a word I said. He ground my nails down and cut my cuticles with the grinder also, which hurt terribly. 3. I decided I could not move forward with getting a gel manicure again so I kindly asked if I could just have a clear coat on my real nails. Again, my tech does not understand me, so he calls over about 5 others who crowd around me, all touching my nails and hands, conversing with each other. They all kept asking what I wanted and I was being very clear, but only one ended up understanding me. And when I asked if it was a problem that I just wanted a clear coat, no one responded. 4. My tech flew through the rest of the process and while he did give me a clear coat, he did nothing to my nails. He did not trim them, file then, buff them, nothing at all. So now my nails are a hot mess and my cuticles hurt from where he cut me more than once with the grinder. Below are what my nails looks like after leaving. You can see the cuts on my cuticles, and how awful my nails look. I will literally never go back to this place and would tell people to go anywhere else before going to Nails 88."
