Reviews of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
"Stopped at drive thru window. No one answered headed on to window. Person with headset was on a phone call and other person with head set never answered. I honked after I saw the girl with the head set hang up the call . She comes to the window and I told her what I wanted to order she tells me that the manger asked for me to drive back and order which I refused to do so I asked why the other person did not answer by that time the manager was on her way to the line. Bad service today I said I would give them a bad review or complain with Tammy the supervisor so the girl in the drive window said what Tammy I said you’re supervisor she replies oh ok I She’s my aunt I’ll call her right now. Staff needs to be courteous regardless"
"Great food nice people and clean store Highly recommend it"
"After work last night I stopped at Popeye's got a family meal. The cashier was very nices and friendly. We got our order fast and hot love coming to this location ."
"The service is horribly slow. We arrived to order food for dinner with it being no a peak time at all. There was just one car ahead of us and we ordered 2 numbers 1's. They didn't have anything ready and told us it would take 8 minutes. We said okay and the food didn't come out until 16 minutes later. Then to make it worse our fries are cold not even fresh. No apologies for the wait. Just horrible. Store # 2092 Order # 622 Time 8:44 pm Date 7-10-2023 Host:60035"
"Order: Chicken Tender Combo, and 15 Piece Family Combo Drive-Thru The chicken was good as always. I love Popeyes, but I'm bringing it down to 3/5 stars because it's quality of customer service has really disappointed as of late. Now, to be fair, I've had issues in particular at this location, so Popeyes in general is alright. Yesterday, about 45 minutes before closing, my wife and I rolled up to the drive-through, and as usual here in Laredo, the staff had already started prepping for close. No one wants to be stuck at work any later than they have to be. I get it because I used to have to work a similar job, and so this is not even part of the specific complaint, but our man on the speaker was outright inconsiderate. We asked for some tenders, and he's like "hold on, I might not have them." After a pause, he comes back on the speaker "okay, it's going to take about 5 minutes," and we say "that's fine" then he starts adding up the order, but we interrupt him to say we also want the 15-piece. He says, "hold on" and again after a pause, he comes back on the speaker "I only have those in mild." We say "that's fine" to this as well, but we'd like some buffalo sauce and blackened ranch. He nods a bit then says "okay." Buddy, charges our card, and asks us to drive up to the waiting lane. After 10 minutes our order comes out, and he takes off back inside without another word. We look inside the bag, and we don't have the buffalo sauce (or any sauce other than those little packets they throw in there.) We didn't have utensils for the mash potatoes or the rice, and we didn't have napkins. My wife, gets out of the car and knocks on the door because the dine-in area is closed due to covid. I told her to just get back in the car and go back around to the drive-thru. There was one customer ahead of us, but there were no other customers after us, so we were able to get back to the window and ask again for the buffalo sauce. Us: "Sorry, we asked for buffalo sauce." Employee: "I have to charge you." Us: "Yeah, but we asked for it before you charged us." Employee: "Oh I just remembered, we don't have buffalo right now. We ran out." Us: "Can you give us ranch or something?" Employee: "I have to charge that too." Us: "Then why did you tell us 'okay' earlier?" Employee: "It's cause I just remembered, we ran out, and they didn't come to restock." Us: "Yeah, I understand that, as we're putting our order, if you don't have something you can at least tell us, so we can pick something else. What if that was my favorite sauce in the world, and the only reason I wanted any of this other stuff was because of that damn buffalo sauce?" Employee: *Looks like he couldn't care less* "We ran out, sorry." Us: "That's not the point. We asked for buffalo sauce and you said "okay" then you give us our order and we didn't get any sauce... Don't tell people something and then you don't have it... You need to work on that." Employee: "Okay. Have a good night." - - - Honestly, this was not the worst attitude I've seen here in town, unfortunately. I was disappointed at how inconsiderate the whole interaction seemed, and that's not even taking into account the complete lack of customer service (which I sometimes consider par for the course at fast food restaurants). He literally had to do the bare minimum to meet our expectation and failed with those responses. I don't like to mention names because I think people deserve a second chance, and mostly, I hope people read these reviews and pause to reflect on what they're doing and how they're running their business. Whatever you do for a job, wherever you work, you should take professional pride in it."
