Reviews of Buddy's Old Time Service, LLC - Auto Repair
"I wouldn’t want my money back if the first “repair” would have fixed my issue. Or atleast made it 10 min without a issue. What test did y’all do ? I did nothing but drive home and car was exactly the same? Also What was the first diagnosis then? The issue was never coils. Just came from another shop that replaced coils. Why was it not truly checked for compression and head gasket to begin with? After telling you the truck is a nightmare, obviously it’s not going to be as simple as coils, I swapped them as well as injectors like I told you. Also First mechanic put new ones in (which he said don’t pay me since truck is exactly how it came in) . And now you diagnosed a mis replaced coils and truck didn’t last 10 min. Did y’all even test it ? This all started because of a bad diagnosis done by your mechanic. You changed parts that truly didn’t need to be changed why? Because truck is exactly the same. Maybe if we would have done a through diagnosis we would have concluded head gasket issue. Would have paid you 60 and scraped the truck away. Again bad business I paid 185 for truly nothing. And it isn’t the money it’s you looking me in the eye and just taking my money outright."
"There the cheapest in town for a reason! Owner is a great robber, knows how to talk to get you to do the work but doesnt fix anything. Car came out worse than it came in. And no return of money. Thanks for taking my money."
"Some old school mechanics I've known most of my life. Not sure about services but I know I have had these gentlemen help with a car breakdown couple times and they are very knowledgeable to their trade and skillful enough to get work done on a above average time span. I toatlly recommend"
"I am new to the area. Brought my SUV in with an usual and difficult to pinpoint the cause of the issue. My concerns were listened to. I felt a genuine feeling from them that they were going to try to find the cause. I find the prices reasonable. I would highly recommend it."
"Dropped truck off 6/2/22 @1:00pm didn't expect anything done this day. So I waited till Monday 6/6/22 close to 4pm to get an update. Was told mechanic wasn't in but he had the vehicle idling better and he'd give me better information Tuesday morning. Again I waited to hear something Tuesday morning. I waited till 11am to call. It was stated mechanic is trying to smooth the idle more but when he turns the truck off it will not crank again so it needed a new battery. Even though the battery in it was only about 4 months old but it was a refurbished battery so I told him put a new one in it. On Wednesday 6/8/22 shop called just before 3pm but I was unable to call them back due to the were already closed by time I got the message. I called Thursday morning just before lunch and was told the mechanic still can't get the truck to idle. The reason the battery was going dead is because the fuel pumps are staying powered even with the key off which is a new problem we didn't have before taking it to the shop. So far the invoice is $220 with no fix to the original issue which was rough idle and now have the new issue of the pumps staying powered with the key off. So Friday we go and pick up the truck I go to pay the bill and it's now $345.18. Mechanic shows us fuel pumps stay energized with key off. So we take the the truck home & pull the fuel pump relay & the pump shut off. Knocked the relay a few times and it fixed the fuel pumps from staying energized. With all that said I was highly disappointed with the outcome. The communication definitely needs work. I would have rather Chris said man we can't figure it out at all rather than trying to make it sound like the mechanic was making progress. All in all nice people but anything difficult probably wouldn't take to this shop. Was a huge waste of $350 and truck left the shop still idling poorly which is why I brought it in. I know they can't diagnose vehicles for free they have mechanics to pay and a shop to keep up. It just sucks paying that much money for nothing being fixed."
