"I hadn't been to a dentist in almost 20 years - I was SO scared and nervous to go, so much so that I almost canceled on my way in just out of fear of the unknown. The entire staff at this office put me at ease and had me smiling the whole time. Not only did she fix the toothache, Dr. Lora Mason explained everything so thoroughly. She answered all of my questions truthfully and in a way that was very comforting. If your looking for a dentist, this is definitely the place to go!!"
"I'm posting this story after my friend came to me yesterday crying. Once you read the story, please tell me what u think about this dentist! My dear friend works here as a dedicated dental hygienist. If you go here for cleaning, you would know her. She has been working tirelessly at this office for two long years. Now, the story begins where the office records hours manually in a book instead of using a computer system. She had trusted the dentist and the manager, never checked her hours and never suspected that her hard-earned hours were being recorded inaccurately until recent event. She was horrified to discover that when patients didn't show up, they deducted those hours from her pay and were recorded as "not working", even though it was not her fault. Being penny-pincher like that yet this office has always deducted an entire hour for lunch for her, even when many time she only took 30-45 minutes because office was so busy!!! Can you imagine the pain of realizing that her employer had been cheating her out of 15 minutes of pay and hours when patient no-show for God knows how long? Do you think it's fair for her? Not only did the dentist cheat her out of lunch hours, but they also failed to pay her for New Year's Day, which they promised to pay.... Besides all that, this dental office, is a place of constant stress and struggle for a hygienist. I am a retired hygienist so I know how it is: Patients here are given only 45 minutes for a comprehensive exam, note-taking, cleaning, x-rays, and breaking down the room. This is a tight schedule that requires hygienists to work at a fast pace to complete everything in time. To make the matters worse, the office only provides three outdated- scaling tips for the entire day, even though they see eight patients or more (yup), and demand my friend to use hand scaling instead of providing enough resource and more efficient cavitrons like other offices. (Think about it, if u can't remove calculus fast during 20 minutes after x-ray, exam etc.., u just gonna have to skip it, lack of resource = not thorough cleaning for patients. And fellow hygienist, u migjt want to know these facts too) All of these factors make her job much more physically demanding. Despite all this, my friend still performed her job with excellence but they completely did not appreciate her. Well, they said they did but her efforts are not reflected in her pay ! Mind you that all these deductions above were made without my friend's knowledge. And to add insult to injury, when she bravely handed in her two-week notice, on her most recent paycheck, she was shorted 9 hours of what she rightfully deserved. And when she confronted this dentist about the matter, Dr Mason, she was met with a condescending laugh in the texting form of "WOW" and told her "goodluck" when she said she would report the unpaid hours to TWC, probably thinking that her poor English would prevent her from doing so. It was the last drop and she couldn't take it anymore to finish her last 2 weeks This was a practice I never witnessed during my time as a dental hygienist. The thought of my friend being subjected to this treatment breaks my heart. I hope that this office and Dr. Mason will realize the horror of their ways and treat their employees with the respect and fairness they deserve and soon pay my friend the 9 hours and the NEW YEAR day that was supposed to. I won't be surprised to see her go to TWC and ask for every 15 minutes that was deducted. -------"
"I was able to get a quick appointment. I had a crown Fallout and I went hoping to be able to get it reseated. Dr Mason was so helpful and explaining what would be the best options since I had decay under the crown. They were so kind of squeeze me in today. Wonderful staff."
"My Husband and I both started seeing Dr. Mason since we moved to Houston decades ago. We have since had three kids and Dr. Mason has taken care of them like her own, from first tooth all the way through braces, injury, veneers, etc.. Recently she was in her car leaving for a family vacation when my eldest lost a temporary veneer and she turned around, met him at the office, and fixed it so he wouldn't have to go off to college missing a front tooth! She goes above and beyond for her clients and is always an absolute joy to be around. Makes going to the dentist less stressful for anyone. I wish all of my doctors were more like her."
"Dr Mason is the best! Love her and her entire staff. The office feels very homey. Have been going to see Dr Mason for the past 8 years, and I’m extremely happy with the dental care my family and I get from her."
