"Veteran owned business! That is always worthy of my time to check out. I've not had work done here, but the owner (Chris) impressed me. I walked in looking for a quality, honest mechanic for those items on my classic that are just too big for my tool selection. This was the only place of the more than 10 I visited where he stopped and took time out to talk to me man-to-man. He walked me around the shop and showed me several techniques I could use at home to better mounting things in the car and straightening wiring issues. It was almost as if he preferred to show me how to do things professionally at home rather than spend money on fairly easy fixes that seem big because I lacked the right parts. I have a stripped bolt that I couldn't figure out how to get out, and not only did he offer a solution and show me the cheap tool needed, he gave me one! I have no doubt my car would be safe with him, and any work done would be top-notch! I fully intend to take him business in the near future. Also, he does a "I'm proud of this machine" get-together the third Saturday of every month. It's a great way for local like-minded people to get together and chatter about cars, or lawnmowers, or cheese graters (if that's what you're proud of). He is a real stand-up guy. If you need work done...I recommend you give this place a try!"

"I took my truck to 181 auto for a repair that seemed devastating. Upon initial inspection it looked as though the motor would have to be pulled in order to get to the part that needed to be replaced. Chris went above and beyond to look further into the truck and found an alternate way to repair the problem without removing the motor substantially lowering the cost of the repair. In addition to that he did the repair quickly lessening the amount of time I had to rent a car to replace my families primary vehicle. I am extremely grateful for his time and care in repairing my truck and getting my family back to functioning. I will recommend 181 auto to anyone in need of a mechanic. Thank you!"

"Chris worked on my car last year and did a fantastic job at another shop. I went back and found he did not work there anymore. I was super bummed and did my research to find a new mechanic, only to find his new shop! I was very happy and relieved. I needed my throttle body replaced. He was able to do it in one day. I had my car back by that afternoon. Chris knows what he is doing and is fair priced. His wife, Stephanie, is a pleasure to work with.
